Decided to make this a higher level giveaway because I'm tired of the winners I see at level one giveaways. Here's hoping whoever wins this actually wants it...
I don't mind, I just want whoever wins it to give it a chance. I just get a little sad when someone says "I love this game/series and I can't wait to try it!" and then 6 months later they still haven't tried it. I mean I understand having a huge backlog (I absolutely understand it) but I'd rather they didn't lie to my face and say they'll play it right away when they know they won't. I still have games in my library that are years old that I haven't gotten around to yet but I don't lie and say I can play it immediately.
That being said I also take forever to finish some games, lol
That's a very honest look at it, shadow1fire. If I happen to win this, I will play it, but I'm pretty slow at whittling down my backlog and haven't gotten to the others in this series yet, so it won't be right away. :3
I make most of my giveaways level 3 and even there I am very unhappy with what I see. The majority of winners give very little and win a lot. Someone won one of my giveaways yesterday that had 477 wins and only gave 9 after being here for 4 years :(
I get some people have bad ratios and I don't really mind too much (most of the time) but 50 to 1 is a bit lame :/
I'm mostly upset with all the rule breaking I see at level one - double wins, regifting, unactivated wins - it's just ridiculous sometimes.
I also wish that the games I give away will end up being played, and I only enter giveaways for games I want to play (and have done a pretty good job of playing/finishing the games I have won so far :D). The first Deponia was nice, got 2+3 to play soon, but still missing this one, thanks a lot for the chance!
Same, I used to just enter every giveaway but then I won games I wasn't interested in and decided to be way more selective about the games I try to win.
Well, it is an interesting problem. On low level, you have the users who enter anything so they can win. And the card farmers.
On the higher levels, you have the users who just collect—or, as I call it, hoard.
Neither group would ever play it, so you are just hitting blindly and hoping you find the few among them who would. And the funny thing is that I honestly couldn't even guess which group has a higher chance of finding a winner who will play the game within a reasonable amount of time. Interestingly enough, all of my winners like that who I know about were level 0-2. Although some of my group-only winners could be like that, who knows.
It's not even really about 'will they play it or not' it's more about lower level users who have broken rules multiple times and usually if they've made it to a higher level they're more "invested" in SG and are less likely to break the rules because their account means something to them. That being said, while I would like whoever wins this to actually play it I also wouldn't really be that bothered if they never did (it hurts more when they lie and say they'll play it and they never do).

I actually wanted to 100% the first one but there's an achievement that requires playing it in Droggeljug mode D:
Every item, character or talking is turned into Droggeljug ;_;
I will eventually do it with some walkthrough by hand...
If it is just for the achievement and not for unlocking it the way it's meant to be unlocked, then you could use a savegame which lets you skip to the end without having to play through everything in this mode. ;)
Yes I do! But then again it'll be a while until I get to play it, given my speed of finishing games...
