Just play a game you enjoy, start streaming and be yourself enjoying the games you play ;)
My suggestions, hmmm... use the proper game tag and use other tags so people can easily find you (ex. chill, shooter, friendly, cozy, newbie, etc... whatever you feel apropriate XD), I suggest using a funny stream title (it always bring people in xD) and ofc, webcam, people will pop in, be friendly and chit chat with your viewers and you'll get into affiliate in no time.

I like indies streams, even more so titles im unaware of, interesting or weird stuff. And i also like betas/alphas and such, the closed ones more so (so i can see how theyre shaping up)... i mostly watch streams for discovering new things, current and upcoming. I try to get in alphas myself(i also play a bunch of demos) but i miss a lot of them and no one can play everything so..
