I almost never enter in Gifts of games that are less than 10$ and i don't know the game.
But I entered this because of the locked achievement, preventing getting the 100% of them. (I can understand that there are people that get all the achievements in games, but I am tired of the achievements. There are nice achievements, and many times they make you game in a different way of what the game is supposed to do in a normal run, so it can add value to the game. But when you are forced to seek guides to complete achievements or force you to do uninteresting or boring things... it's a no for me.
One of the nices achievements (for me) was Little Rocket Man in Half-Life 2: E2. That one made me replay the entire E2 carrying the gnome around.

Yeah, I think that achievements can add to games easily if they are done right. They are also a neat way for the developer to make you experience things that you might have missed without an achievement that makes you do it.
What I find a bit shocking about Gauge is that there are so many people who unlocked the achievement that is supposed to be unlockable and it's just a little few people than the last regular achievement. Makes one wonder how many people actually play the game and don't unlock the achievements with tools or stuff like that. rolleyes
