Watch your six! -- Turbulence! -- Mach 5!
On April 12th, 1933, Bill Lancaster's plane crashed on the Sahara desert. He was relatively uninjured, but the scorching sun of the desert was still a huge death risk. A convoy of planes found the lost pilot but, unable to land safely, the best they could do was to fly above him in rotation, try to keep him in the shade as he walked toward the nearest settlement. Unhappily, there were too many Shadow Breaches, and Mr. Lancaster died 8 days later, on April 20th 1933.

You should've said "they dropped a few umbrellas so that he could stay in the shade". I'd buy that!

Alas, they only had umbrellas from the cocktails they savored before taking off in a hurry (which actually explains the erratic flight patterns of the convoy)...

It's like cornfield circles? Only in the sky... to block out the sun. Yes :3
