As far as I know it's and HD remaster. They even used some of the old cutscenes in EXTRA LOW resolution :D

I played both and I can say, this one is way way way better than the one on the PSP, combat feels smooth and way better than the old version, I didn't really see any old cutscenes so I'm not sure what you're talking about because all cutscenes have been remade with FF7 Remake's engine and it shows.

i used to love the series when i was younger i've played 4,5,6,tactics,7,8,9,10 i also played the ff7 remake recently but never had the chance to play crisis core (or dirge of cerberus)

DoC will probably never leave the PS2 considering many consider it old shame...
Then again i never thought crisis core would leave the psp, so who knows what the future holds.

Well with the recent FF7 related media push from Square, it's definitely possible. If they do plan to, then it'll probably come a year or so after Rebirth to fill the gap before the last part of the trilogy.
Still doubtful though.

Oh snap, I didn't realize they brought Crisis Core to PC! Always wanted to play this one but felt like I should wait til I finished FF7 first, which ended up only happening a few years ago (I blame the Gold Saucer, I stayed there for entirely too long and couldn't bring myself to move on lmao) and by that point it felt silly to try and track down and purchase a PSP so I just kinda forgot about it. Thanks for these awesome giveaways so I could learn about this remaster! 💖
