My Father had a really bad lyme disease scare when I was little. He got a deer tick on his ear and it left a weird red mark, my mother forced him to go to the doctor (he kept insisting it was fine) and he got treated, thankfully that was the end of it. But things could have gone rather differently if my Mother hadn't heard of lyme disease and pressured him to get treated early.
