Almost no one reads total giveaways, but with groups, it's the reverse. If it wasn't for Discord, I wouldn't have looked at the title.

From what I've heard from a friend, this game is awesome. Hopefully whoever the winner is this time will actually play the game sooner or later! 😊

I must admit that personally, I may have disappointed a few people, as I haven't gotten around to playing all of my won games yet. This is directly due to inflammation in my shoulder that has been dragging on for over a year now. But I will get to all of them, hopefully sooner rather than later! 🐢

Steam kinda incentivizes people to get "+1" getting games on mass, but I personally don't care enough to join blind into giveaways of games that don't appeal to me. Although, I do like that this site helps me discover lots of games that I do end up buying on sales, which I appreciate.

Thanks for the giveaway! Sometimes life is busy and you're already trying to complete a game (like I'm trying to complete all zelda series), so one may leave to play the games a bit later 🤔but that's no excuse, games should be played indeed!

I could be wrong but I feel like the odds of people entering anything/everything probably goes down the higher level you make a giveaway (or group/invite-only as you said). I have no data to back that up though 😄

I always read the description, but I know not everyone does.

I believe there are certain groups you can join, were the rules are that people complete xx% in 1/3 month(s) If you want to make sure that games will be playd.

Whitelist could also be something to consider or other groups like BLAEO :)

i always read giveaway desciptions, and as for "collectors" there are groups that require you to play the game you win in certain amount of time or completion % or you get kicked

Your description reminded me how in-ancient-times someone made a test where they public giveaway some game and then put link to second copy of it in description.
My brain wants me to believe description-GA had 10 times less entries.

Personally i tend to read at least one line, i stop reading if it's a text for a promotion or if it has nothing interesting/relevant to say.
While i dont end up finishing everything i play, the idea of getting on giveaways for the sake of collecting is like... why? I dont get into giveaways if im not interested in any way in the game. Altrough it's fair and understandable if someone just end up not liking a game and drops it quickly.

Yeah that's kinda the problem on here no matter what the giveaway is. People enter more for the win than the game.
There are groups like Playing Appreciated where the winner has to play the game within a certain amount of time.

Play or Pay participant make a list of game, others select games from list, if they didn't beat it, they have to create a GA

play a game you won on Steamgifts this one is a monthly event, participant have to beat their win (backlog if they havent won anything)

Not all people even go to the giveaway page, they use userscripts allowing to enter from the main page. And there is always the problem with autojoiners, in recent years they have become very numerous in public GA
