Mind be cool, heart be hot
Keep the mind cool so you can think clearly
But keep the heart hot so you can work eagerly

Oooh, that is pretty nice; makes sense too. Definitely one of those that a person should try to remember and evoke.

I like serendipity because it turns a thing that's usually negative into a positive.

Cool word just by how it sounds and, yes, the meaning is interesting, especially if you attach a good, positive mindset to its interpretation.

This thread is definitely getting into "favorite quote", but sure, that line is definitely great and memorable.
I approve of it - and it can certainly even be applied for real life.

Thank you and good luck!

Reminds me of childhood (and is an awesome series/fil to boot).

Ah, yes, it is a nice and mellow word. Definitely a bonus if you like the show!

As far as my childhood goes, I really liked Dragonfly; quite a different insect mind you, but an awesome one!

Favourite word? Hmm...

Rum

Because it reminds me no matter how tough things get, there's always rum to make things better.

Oi oi oi lad, you're not supposed to drink away tough times! :D

Can't say I've tried rum tho... Nowadays the only alcohol I can tolerate/like are beer, jaeger, vine and gin-tonic.

Thank you and good luck!

I like Babushka (think that's how it's spelled)

It's a Russian word for grandmother, I just like words that sound unusual! 😂

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Eeeh, not too unusual for my taste; but then again, my native language and Russian share some tangential or at least superficial similarities. :P

But you always have to love grandmother!

I do like the word and the race (even tho my only Skirim run was with Argonian); It does sound nice and obviously evokes thoughts of "cat".

Thank you and good luck! Meow!

"Oh for fuck's sake." - The sheer amount of defeated frustration this phrase is usually delivered in crappy games Let's Plays is always fun to hear.

Haha, yeah, I can see what you mean. Just thinking about it and yeah, it sounds just right. :P
It is also somewhat comical, at least to me. My more serious version of the same is "Jesus fuck".

I can see the validity in that statement; humans are veeeery complicated and the clash of feelings and rational thought are ever-present.

can I use a quote? it's a bit longer, and I like it a lot, it's by an old actor David Niven:
Well, old bean, life is really so bloody awful that I feel it’s my absolute duty to be chirpy and try and make everybody else happy too.
It's a good guideline to enjoy the little things, and try not to take everything always so seriously

also "crisp" is a pretty satisfying word to say, the sound starts on your back palate and travels all the way to your lips

But was he depressed in real life, tho? That's what happens to many a man that focuses so much on making others smile. :/
But the guideline as you outline is definitely good.

Crisp... Hah, you're right! Simple but pleasant, if a "hard" word.
