Description

Instead of "Thanks!", I would prefer to know what game you're currently playing (or completed recently) and what do you think of it?

I'm playing Dark Souls at the moment (decided it's a good time to finally start playing it) and at the same time I'm trying to 1001% complete The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth (only 8 6 achievements left!).

Currently playing Mad Max. It's predictable and repetitive, but somehow I'm still enjoying it. Not sure why :)

I looked at some gameplay footage and I was amazed how awesome the desert looks. But I wonder - is the world big and interesting enough to make driving fun on its own (without doing any kind of missions)?

There aren't a lot of missions. It's mostly about invading camps to get scrap metal, mementos, blow up their tanks and kill a few bosses. After a territory is cleared there are a few missions, which you sometimes have to do to get to the next area. The game is almost all driving. While you drive, bad guys attack and ram into you, but you have a harpoon and can yank them out of their cars. There are also racing outposts.

I have a lot of games on my backlog, but I think there's one you are bound to enjoy. Its gameplay is engaging (so many options!), and its relatable, colourful cast of characters always makes me smile.

Congrats on winning my giveaway. But I noticed you already have the game. How many of the 7 DLCs you own?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Nil. Reroll if you wish, I didn't know we couldn't enter for DLC.

Don't worry, it's not a problem in this case. It's fine by me to enter just for DLCs. I just wouldn't like a winner who already has a majority of them. :)
But yeah, I forgot to mention that in the description.

The key should be visible now.

Osu and Awesomenauts, but these arent games to "complete". Won a game on that "8-bit Salute" giveaway called Capsure, simple game, played for like a hour, interesting by it simplicity. Sometimes im playing Papers, Please and And Yet It Moves in offline

I remember having a lot of fun playing both Osu and Awesomenauts long time ago. Sometimes I even think about returning back to them.
And Papers, Please is definitely one of my favourites games. How do you like it so far?

I played the first one for about 10 hours and then I got overwhelmed by amount of content. But I definitely need to pick it up again at the some point.

Seriously, it is overwhelming sometimes, and I have played the first two, so I would know. ;)

I just got overwhelmed by how slow and punishing it is. Run from one end of the map to the other 20 times, get a new quest, die, rinse, repeat. Hoping 2 is better once I get in the mood to try it but it really put me off.

warlocks vs shadows is an interesting platformer

i'm enjoying them both quite a bit.

Never heard about Warlocks vs Shadows, but I know Hive really well. While I don't really enjoy chess, Hive is for sure one of my favourite small board games for 2 players.

I heard it's pretty good. But is it one of those strategies that have real time battles with hundreds of units to manage? Those always scared me - whenever a game wants more to control more than one thing in real time it ends with disaster.

you can play the battles or leave it up on the the computer to make the calculations and present you the result. this is what i mostly do as i tend to play only the battles which i am supposed to lose based on the calculations. you can freeze the battle at any time so this is a great advantage too.

Juggling a few.

  • AC4: Good. Better than what I've seen of the others. Still lots of repetitive actions and collectibles, but better. Shanties are cool. Pirating is cool.
  • RE4: My 2nd RE game after playing 3 way back in the PSX days. Hoping to get the remasters of earlier REs on Steam sometime in the next few years. First time going through. This game is fucking hard as fuck. I love it. Too bad one of the toughest parts of the game is the camera, after fixing all the issues with slowdown and such. Also, how the fuck did people play this with a controller back in the day!? I tried it and it's impossible to move the camera, it jumps all around!
  • Getting some achievs I missed on Saints Row 3 and 4.
  • Dark Souls 2 vanilla: Great. Love the Souls series. Another hard as fuck game, but mostly artificial difficulty. Coming from DS1 it's not too hard. Keep up with DS1, it's a magnificent game.
  • And sometimes I hop into something else for a lil bit. Thinking bout starting Skyrim soonTM.

I should probably play AC4 one day. Unfortunately, I still have a bad taste in my mouth from AC3.

And of course I'm going to continue Dark Souls. It's definitely a game for me. So far (arrived in Blighttown not long ago) it's not as hard as I expected based on what people say. The fighting system reminds of Monster Hunter in which I spent hundreds of hours.

AC4 is pretty good. The story is alright. Too many Deus Ex. But alright.

Yeah, it's not that bad once you get the hang of it. A lot of people rush in but if you are patient and take in your surroundings you'll do fine. I'm conflicted on giving you advice on Blighttown, so if you get stuck in there gimme a shout :P

Oh, and google how to activate the DLC at some point after you finish with Duke's Archives.

I have a lot that i'm playing at the moment haha. Playing a mix of Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, Borderlands, Hammerwatch, Terraria, Metal Slug 3, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Magicka. Recently completed an amazing game: Ori and the Blind Forest.

Man, I really like that list! I spent hundreds of hours in both Isaac and Borderlands. I remember having a great time in Terraria and Magicka. Ori and the Blind Forest and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime are pretty high on my wishlist. And Hammerwatch is a game I want to try someday, but I can't find a good moment for it (it's been sitting on my desktop for many months now).

The Binding of Isaac has been my favorite series for quite some time, having spent about 200 hours in the original and rebirth, with still plenty more to do in the Afterbirth.

I just picked up Hammerwatch again after a long time. It's pretty good fun, and not as hard as I thought it was when i first tried it out a while ago.

Ori and the Blind Forest is a really beautiful game, i'd definitely recommend it. Lovers in a Spacetime is an amazing local co-op game which is great fun with a partner, one I would also recommend.

I'm currently hooked on Armello. It's a wonderful game with incredibly fun multiplayer. SP at this point is okayish due to AI sometimes being very stupid, but the the devs are working on it. It's on sale now, so if you're into beautiful board games with endless replayability, then buy it without any hesitation.

Yes its a simple gameplay, but sometimes you have to use your brain, but it makes much Fun and in the End you have the choice of being evil or not. Bought it over at Indiegamestand for just 1$ and for this amount its a steal!

It's been so long since I played any Lego titles, but when Lego Star Wars came out (and later the sequel) I spent probably hundreds of hours playing it. I'm pretty sure I found every single thing in the game and had most of the levels memorized. Ah, good times...

Currently I am re-playing old games and their modifications, so retro, but there's something satisfying about it, every new modification feels like playing a whole new game, plus you don't have to download big volumes of data and you still have some fun.

Blood 1 (1997), but not the original, an incomplete fan made remake as I couldn't figure how to make the original work as expected on my pc and also WolfenDoom - Blade of Agony which is a Doom II (1994) total conversion playable on more modern version of the engine GZDoom.
