-The tip:There is a game in steam called Tabletop simulator, I usually go to the workshop there and see what mods are the folks making, try a little bit and see if the boardgame could fit with my group.

As for board games, I really haven't played many. With Trivial Pursuit I'm happy.
Not exactly a board game, it's more a puzzle game you can play solo or versus others. Tantrix uses hexagonal pieces with colored lanes you have to connect. It's really amazing, both the solo and the versus modes.

It's sort of a board game, in that it has a board to keep score.
Poetry for Neanderthals. It's like Taboo, in which you want your teammates to guess the secret word, but all of your clues can only be one syllable. It's a lot of fun, especially because you also get a balloon inflatable rubber "club" that you bop people with if they use a two-syllable word (if they are the one asking the questions that turn).
