Nice. Skipped last month but interested in trying out for this month. Have a backlog I wanted to work through too. Had two swap out Spyro and Rebel Cops with shorter games but done. This month was...personally taxing and a quick lookover revealed I've run out of shorter games now. Oh well.

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (from March 2020)
Achievements - "Crushing Conclusion"
I usually go into retro FPS with trepidation as I often haven't enjoyed them if I hadn't played them in childhood. But for the most part, Turok was enjoyable enough. The most annoying part was some of the platforming and the navigation, as well as some of the game's logic with "pressing X button causes door Y to open elsewhere."
Resident Evil: Revelations (from November 2018)
Achievements - "The Dark Forest"
It is easy to see some of the limitations Revelations had as a result of having to run on the 3DS, but for the most part it scales up well, especially for playable character textures. Perhaps the most annoying part of the game were the flashback and alternate scenarios that put you in control of other characters. I think if the game focused solely on Jill exploring the derelict cruise ship, it would have made for an overall more focused experience.
Just Die Already (from February 2022)
Achievements - "Off to Florida"
As someone who did almost everything in Goat Simulator, Just Die Already doesn't quite hit the same way, but it has its moments. It is frustrating to have to pass through doors that require a specific combination of your limbs and body parts to be cut off, but the gameplay is mostly manageable other than that. I wasn't expecting much out of the ending, knowing what kind of game I was dealing with, but it was still pretty dire.
Kill it with Fire (from July 2021)
Achievements - "The Only Way to be Sure"
Kill it with Fire does a good job of making the spiders jump-scare you and simulate the annoying experience of having bugs run away out of sight and under cover before you can crush them. Some of the optional objectives could feel tedious especially when missing one item that flew about while fighting the spiders, so I had to control myself to help keep the game going.
Stories Untold (from September 2017)
Achievements - "Stories, Told"
The first episode of Stories Untold oozes atmosphere and intrigue, and then for me it mostly goes downhill from there. The majority of the core gameplay, could be frustrating with its specificity needed. No Code has something going with creating psychological horror, but just like in its later game Observation, needs to make the package complete with gameplay.
I won't nitpick the big reveal/ending too much, but it definitely felt like a disappointment in my mind.
Copoka (from July 2016)
Achievements - "Thank You For Playing"
Themes and storyline aside, Copoka could be relaxing when flying through the map, but also tedious when finding the objects needed to progress the story. With some of the other effects going on, the glow to indicate townsfolk and storyline objects could sometimes blend in with the rest of the blurs and glows, creating a bit of a straining viewing experience.

The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in one month.
The prize: Life is Strange: True Colors
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.
FAQ:
Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over six years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?
No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.
Can I play a MP only game?
No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.
If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?
No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on July 5th when the next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.
