Hello,

so I've been using Steamtrades.com for some time now, but I have never traded any of my game keys for TF2 keys. Lately aftre my friend has been telling me about them, I have become more interested in trading my games for TF2, since i can sell them for $2-ish on the steam market. I was wondering, are all TF2 keys the same with the same general pricing on the steam market? And if I were to trade my Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider game keys, what would be a good number of keys to ask for them? Thanks!

There are a few different keys (normal keys, robokeys, summer appetizer keys..), but their value is usually same. As for Bioshock/TR pricing, check what is the lowest price on Steamtrades.

The TF2 key used as currency on Steamtrades is the basic, standard key. In other words, this.

In terms of value (or pricing your items) consider that they currently sell for around 2.15$ / 1.6€. That's the price the buyer pays, while the seller gets around 0.25$ / 0.20€ less. Those cents go to Steam as a "fee". So come up with prices in real world money for the games you want to sell and "convert" them in keys. I recently got Tomb Raider for 4 keys, if that helps.

Just above the lowest sale price is more or less what a game is worth. You have to take into account though that if they are keys (and by the sounds of it they seem to be) their price is less, specially when they've been given away for "free" as those two were. Also TR is dropping its price rather quickly. I think I saw it for like 6 bucks or so.

And about they keys. People usually use the MannCo ones. The regular, I think. The rest, well. Its price might go a bit higher, but is usually similar as for example DOTA TI keys were like 10 cents more expensive than the regular ones.

You could get Tomb Raider for about 4 keys and Bioshock for 7 keys

Why did Tomb Raider suddenly become so cheap without a price drop on Steam?

Combination of sales and the free keys given out with video cards.

Keep in mind that since you have game keys, you'll likely be expected to trade first, which increases your chances of getting scammed. I would suggest choosing your trading partner very carefully.

This exactly. Unless you have lots of rep, expect to be handing out your games first and hoping the other party pays you afterwards.

Make sure you either trade with trustworthy traders or focus on only selling Steam Gifts/Tradeables.
