At least as secure as PayPal is.
She should not have anything to worry about.
And the CC number is not displayed and you are asked to enter it again if you want to send things to a new adress. So the worst thing that could happen is having you acc hacked and being sent things to your house.

Most likely amazon will never accept paypal. As it's giving money to their main competitor.
And you can buy from amazon.de with lowered shipping fees and amazon.co.uk has free shipping for orders over 25 pounds.
You can also use amazon.es amazon.fr or amazon.it
The other amazons (amazon.com , amazon.cn amazon.ca amazon.jp) will charge you a shitton on shipping

Actually, the most secure thing you can do is to use a prepaid card, and don't keep more money there than you actually need.
I usually have some €30 or so for everyday stuff, only charge more when I'm about to spend it for something. That way even if i'm "hacked" i don't lose much.

Amazon by far has the best customer service. Way better than any digital provider i've dealt with. Origin has live chat but their Reps are so fail. Amazon replied to my email with in the hour gave me a refund and ontop of that let me keep my mistaken purchase. Thats what I call A+++ in my books

+1, paypal are huge dicks sometimes. They aren't technically any kind of banking institution under law so they don't have to follow most if any FDIC/consumer protection rules, so surprise surprise, they don't. The law hasn't caught up with the technology, if it ever will.

OP do you have access to large brick and mortar stores? A lot of them sell prepaid/gift credit cards now with finite amounts on them and you can easily use those on Amazon. The worst someone could with the information is use how ever much is on the card, so no worries about thieves on huge spending sprees. If they even bothered to get the info on the card at all, it really wouldnt be worth it for them.

You woo'd your sister? I've never heard that term used outside of a romantic pursuit.

I haven't purchased from there but judging from the comments on every game purchased there by other users I'm pretty sure it's safe.

I don't have my own Credit Card. To purchase my games, I have to borrow my sister's credit card. Thing is, she's very paranoid about her card's security (as she should be), what with all the news reports about hacking, fraud and what-have-yous. So much so that it took almost a year of wooing her about PayPal's security features.
Since Amazon doesn't accept PayPal as a mode of payment, I'd just like to ask how secure is it so I can convince her?
