Rogue Legacy Controls

I'm using a gamepad and it's great even though I usually prefer keyboard and mouse.

Awesome with a gamepad - so much easier than the keyboard.

Done 100% achievements with gamepad without any controls problems. :-)

Gamepad controls are excellent. I strongly recommend playing with one. This is coming from someone who tends to prefer keyboard on games which recommend gamepads. Don't bother with analogue sticks though - the D-pad works best for this game.

Controller works better for Rogue Legacy. But it's digital input, so no point in using the analog stick, dpad works good enough though.

You should use gamepad for rogue legacy, it's way better, played it 30 hours without problems.

Gamepad is awesome, i'm using xbox controller and its somehow easier to maneuver with the stick. A is for jump, B is for special weapons, Y is for class special skill and X is to attack, RT,LT are used for other skills which i haven't unlocked till now. Really addicting game :3

Even with an Xbox 360 gamepad, the controls in Rogue Legacy aren't very tight. I'm of the opinion that games that demand precise reactions should have precision controls, and RL doesn't have those. Obviously in the minority here, so YMMV.

Still, you're far better off using a gamepad than a keyboard for this game.

gamepad controls feel smooth imo, havent even bothered with keyboard at all ;p

Using a keyboard is pretty difficult possibly by 2x, but I still like a keyboard sometimes but a precise game like this needs a gamepad

I prefer the keyboard personally. It's no less accurate than a controller in this game. Each to their own though.

Any problems you face are likely to be more to do with your preferences as a gamer than the actual implementation of the controls in Rogue Legacy.

Its absolutely perfect with a controller. I prefer playing with a controller whenever I can, and espc for games like this.

It's pretty much perfect with a keyboard.

I play with controller because Rogue Legacy looks like a game designed for them mostly, but I never tried using a keyboard.

Thought the keyboard controls weren't bad but if you have a controller it's highly addictive & fun. Plus so many games on steam now are supported with the controller so it's well worth the purchase of one if you don't have one yet.
