I just wonder if others have the same problem... starting yesterday, adding free games to library on Steam doesn't work, always gives this error: "There was a problem adding this product to your account.". It doesn't work from here or directly from the store page in a browser, however I checked and it worked from the Steam client. Is it just me?

Try deactivating Steam-related browser extensions. I've had probems with Augmented Steam starting yesterday. The extension stopped working due to a buggy setting. It will be fixed in the next release.

I tried it just now on a new profile with zero extensions, same error. Both Firefox and Chrome.
Afterwards I tried the same game in the Steam client and again it worked.

Hmkay, maybe it's somehow related to Steam's Next Fest.

If you go to Augmented options/general and set the option "Install Steam" button to Show it will fix it

Same.

edit: I can add them to my account using the Steam's Client (APP) instead of the web browser.

The "Add to library" button is not working in Steam Client (Mobile and PC), at least for me. I click it and nothing happens. A workaround to add the free games is to click on the "Play Game" button (PC only).

SteamDB says "You also need to update the SteamDB extension to 3.6.7." but last version is 3.6.6.
it makes no sense or where is that 3.6.7

3.6.7 is now available, but adding still doesn't work.

As I understand it, updating the extension is not enough, we need to wait for Valve. Maybe it works by the time the sale starts.

Btw the free packages page often goes to >90% CPU time usage (of a core) according to the built-in task manager of Firefox. This leads to a delayed response during such phases.

"This is broken because store.steampowered.com and checkout.steampowered.com must have same sessionid cookie."
I wonder if there is any workaround to set it maually...

Just downloaded and installed 3.6.8 on Firefox and still get the "There was a problem adding this product to your account. Please try again later." error.

EDIT: Correction, if you go to the sub page for the "Free on Demand" sub of a game at steamdb.info, the "Add Free License" button DOES now work, however I was under the impression that the Steamdb addon would also make the "Add to Library" button work on the Steam page, but I guess I misunderstood. The "Add to Library" button on the Steam website still does not work, and I assume that is going to require a fix from Valve.

For me it wasn't needed, but: "If you are still having issues, try relogging into the Steam store."

Thanks for the reply, I updated my post.

EDIT: I was wrong again! It DOES fix the "Add to Library" button, but I did need to log out of Steam in the web browser and then log back in to Steam. Now it works fine. Thanks again!

At the bottom of SteamDB page, there is a section "Add using ArchiSteamFarm". I currently use ASF as a workaround.

Broken again

I fixed mine by disabling augmented steam and having 3.69 Steamdb and then logging out and back in.

But I broke it again the second I activated the augmented steam extension again.

Then fixed it again by switching off augmented steam and then logging out of steam (browser chrome) and logging back in
