You can use the site "isthereanydeal" to check the past discounts, Steam usually keeps the same values as past sales unless the devs decide a price cut or a higher discount. For example Hades has been at -50% and probably will get the same cut. More recent games may get a -25% (like Elden Ring and GoW).

I agree, I do miss the fun little activities that sales would have. Think my favorite is either the 2019 grand prix or the 2014 summer adventure where people were in teams and had to craft badges for points.
