So, recently my girlfriend gifted me with this and I am loving every crisp sound and bass.

What do you guys use for your gaming headphones? or if you use any other for daily usage.

well my previous headset cost me over 80€ and it was shit. This one cost me like 35€ and it's awesome in any way. Sound is even better than headsets in a price range of 70-100€, it is comfortable as fck and doesn't hurt your ears even after hours of wearing, mic is damn good, overall design is great and has some nice software to set it up properly even with fancy features like voice modulation :P

Its important for me too that they are comfortable. As i wear glasses almost every headphones becomes uncomfortable after sometime, so always prefer normal Earpods when travelling.
Also i still have to check up with razer surround for more optimization.

Superlux HD681 evo. Something around 25€ and they sound better than anything I tried under 150. Uncompromisingly clear and a nice balanced bass. Actually when you hit that price range, it's more and more about personal taste and preference. They don't compete badly in that range, either.

Bought a second to use at work. Because cheap.

I myself always preferred cheap and good ones, as I am still in college. Never expected to buy something over 30€ until stable job.

Yep! I actually bought a pair of these just a couple weeks ago. I owned a pair of the original HD681's a few years ago (and later sold them), so I know what kind of sound quality they can offer. I was very impressed back then, and I'm impressed again with the EVO. No contest in sound quality in its price range, that's for sure.

These headphones are unforgiving though, you'll notice a bad source quality very easily.

I don't usually use headphones for the main game, but if I play co-op with a friend, I use these ones. Cheap but perfect for what I need.

Once in a while when I do use headphones for the whole game, I have a nicer pair - but I forgot the make/model name :-/

Audio Technica ATH-M50 for music/movies etc.

Logitech G430 for voice chat.

Audio Technica has fantastic sound quality but it can get uncomfortable for me after a period of use.

Audio Technica, sigh!
I spend few hours watching reviews of that one. I want to try them tooo and find out if they are as awesome as everyone say. (Though i know they're xD)

"I heard instruments I've never heard of before" was a regular review I ran into when I was researching headphones. I thought it was such cliched way of writing a review about headphones that I didn't really believe them. I was so wrong and mistaken! Cause I'm saying the exact same thing now. I honestly hear new instruments in the songs I've listened to for years. It's magical :D

...where do they get uncomfortable for you? For me (M50x) it's at the top of the head. All the weight gets concentrated at one point, and since they don't have too much padding there it gets uncomfortable after maybe 30 minutes. I have solved that with soft, thick foam that goes from each ear cup up along about 50% to the mid point, which places almost all weight at the side of the head, and the top/mid point barely touches the head. Soved all comfort issues for me, I can use them all day now.

It's usually at the top of the head for me as well, including the ears. I feel a lot of headache and pressure around my head after about 30-40 minutes, I have to remove it at that point :(

I used to have the ATH-M50Xs and when I first got them they sounded awesome, and then after a few weeks I started noticing things about them that I didn't care for, plus they were super uncomfortable, so I sold them and upgraded to the MrSpeakers Alpha Dogs which have a 1" thick earpad.

I chose this because they are very comfy. Huge ear cups for my large ears. Velvet type headband and earpads. It is also open ear headset. Which means that I am never cut off from the outside world. I really dislike the idea of closed headset.
Plus the mic is pretty good. Putting it up turns the mic off as well and it has a nice big easy to use volume button (knob?).

Audio-Technica ATH-M50x. Even though they work excellent for gaming, I didn't get them for gaming, but to use as monitor headphones. They work excellent for that since they have a decent frequency response. The ATH-M40x are even better (straighter frequency response), but at lower volumes, the ATH-M50x work better since their frequency response compensate for the equal loudness contour (M50x at lower volumes sound like M40x at higher volumes, when reproducing sound meant to sound like it does for real). Which means everything sounds like it's meant to sound, including games ;)

Also quite comfortable around the ears, but not over the head, but I've solved that with a foam mod, so I can use them for a full day without any discomfort.

yeah ATH-M50x really lives upto that expectations. I have never seen somebody complain about it. Looks like there's no cons in them. Maybe some day I will own it or equivalent to them at that period of time.

Here's a video review from one of the most (if not THE most) popular and respected headphone reviewers.
