They did the same thing with Portal 2. When the last DLC launched, they put the game @75%. Awesome marketing, pleasing both seller and buyer. This is why I love Valve

The DLCs come with the updates. You probably have them. One of the DLCs was the Co-Op challenge puzzles and the most recent one was the level creator.

So many impulsive buys. It was genius. I do wonder what their actual goal behind the voting was. It'd be hard to gather information on different games if one went on flash/voting and the other went daily. Maybe a record for future sales due to popularity? I'm curious.
