He's right, though. Nobody ever can truly finish Skyrim. There is no way to do that. You can beat the main questline, but that doesn't finish the game.

How is there no way to do it? I don't believe that just because it generates quests for you to do means you can't complete it.

Quests are just busywork. They give you stuff to do. Completing the main questline is really no different than doing any other questline or single quest. The game just keeps on going same as always.

But what if I completed the main quest line, side quests and completed every dungeon? Would you still not consider that completed?

Problem is that even then there is things you can do. Not reasonable and sane things, but things you can do, like genocide.
It's more of what you set as completed for yourself... I think for me it was when I started to think it as shallow boring game and quit...

In that case, you can never truly finish any game ever. Each gameplay will be different in game even like Mario, because your jumps will never be exactly the same as one in a previous game.

If you're level 8 and already looking for the scrolls then you're just rushing through the game (really fast). I was usually around level 46-50 when I got to even start the main quest. Are you really asking for spoilers? The main story of Skyrim is mediocre at best, the ending is underwhelming and the aftermath is just rubbish.

I finished Skyrim (without the radiant quests) 4-6 times plus DLC and quest mods, it took me around 1400 hours.

Yeah when i had to look for walkthrough,I saw people like lvl 25-30 at sky temple, when i was lvl 7.. I really don't know how to level up faster except killing enemies,im kinda new to skyrim, but im already loving it.. I wish i was higher level, because i also though lvl 8 on that quest doesn't seems right, but i don't wanna go back to level up and abandon this quest for later as i wanna finsih the mainstory, because im curious.

One does not simply finish Skyrim ! The game has finished when you think it is . A lot of fun is to be found in it with many characters :) The main questline is not something you should or can finish early . You'll find that out if you rush the main quests which you shouldn't . There is a ton of fun quests and stories with guild,DLC's,daedra lords/princes,gods,godesses and divines, secret relics and ancient weapons . Wonder around towns and you'll see there is plenty of quests for you . Some interesting ones that I can remember: "Blood on the Ice" if that's the actual name which is a quest in Windhelm , "Lights out" from Jaree-ra in Solitude . I enjoyed the Dark Brotherhood the most from all guild questlines and it really has an interesting plot . Quests with Daedra princes are hard to find and I can't recall most of them, but looking for them is really fun since you never expect them ! Dragon Priest Masks are also something cool in the game ! Rumors and bounties will lead you to a lot of fun so try with that . Sorry for the long comment !

Honestly some of the side quests beat the stuff you do in the (pretty boring) main story 100 times over in my opinion. Never really found the whole game all too great :/ It does have some moments but I usually ended up more frustrated then happy. The whole "meh" feeling of it still didn't stop me from sinking tons of hours into it though so there's that lol. But yeah no ending. No tadaa. No credit roll and no kazoos or pats on the back. Just awkward animations and guards talking a little bit better about you.
Note: Mod the game up it makes it a lot better and more entertaining :D

I killed the "flying rat" aka "final boss dragon" with like 5 hits cuz he was pathetically weak. Skyrim not finishes when you finish the game. But the ancient dragons that I met now are way more powered and if they burn me they take a lot health from me(I don't have any shield though, I just use dual weapons), playing on Legendary difficulty, but I still kill them with few hits. Also my weapons are little OP too now, they have over 550 damage Daedric Mace & Daedric Sword
The most difficult and dynamic fight I had in Skyrim was when I just had some hours playing, I went to a mountain and found a Dragon, there was also Krosis, at this time killing them both was very difficult to me even with my follower Lydia, so I killed the dragon first, and then after multiple attempts I killed Krosis, it was difficult to kill him for me cuz his fire ball explosions could kill me in 2-3 hits, so I had to shot him with the bow, hiding and while Lydia was hitting him with melee, my bow skills were weak, in the final attempt I could throw him down the cliff and Lydia came with him too, so he killed Lydia accidentally with the fire ball explosion while she was on the knees and started shooting me, but there was a bug and the explosions hit the rock but not me, so I killed him, but killing all other similar to Krosis was just by 2-3 hits.
Seems in Skyrim the more OP you become the less dynamic Skyrim becomes. Killing practically everyone with 1-3 hits and strong monsters with less than 7 hits it's not fun, even on Legendary difficulty, also some fire ball explosion attacks or some electric attacks from NPCs are OP too, even if you put the game on Normal difficulty.

If you mean the main quest so... It's not so "epic" as Mass Effect 3 ending but still nice. Last boss was easier than other dragons because of small private army of dead vikings with huge axes. I really liked last location with calm colors and pretty forest (and drunk Nords' Saints with huge axes again). Unfortunately there are no sidequests here after killing old reaper of Nords. You can continue your adventure and sacrifice dogs for daedric helmets after main quest so good luck with it.

You are doing the same thing that I did with my first play through. Just doing your best to finish the storyline. I managed to do it (WITH CHEATS!) by reaching level 11.) Then on my second replay i did MANY bigger side quests (mages guild, dark brotherhood, thief's guild and so on and on) before doing main quest. I ended up being level 92 after finishing it.

In my last playthrough I was level ~60 when I walked into Sovngarde, so it looks like you are rushing through the story quests. Do the sidequests, the guilds' quests (Thieves Guild, DB, College), do the daedric quests, roam the lands a bit, you are missing on so much stuff! You can also try to: find and listen to M'aik, find the Headless Horseman, find the Notched Pickaxe, play around with the Wabbajack, etc etc.
