What i have seen so far is 60 cards for a csgo key 50 cards for a tf2 key ;)

no one will buy a card that is $1, good luck selling those.
edit: it surely depends on the game though

No they're mostly trying to rip off noobs who will give them valuable cards for pennies. There are easy ways to find out what a huge pile of cards is worth like Enhanced Steam showing them that in every trade offer. Your cards are currently valued at $46 on market and you would get $34 after Steam tax if you sold them. Compare that to the price of CS:GO keys on market and check which makes more sense. :)

It's a must for everything, altho talgaby made me doubt if it was that or the Inventory Expert that shows the prices, I always seem to get them mixed up. :)
Also if you want to know the value of your inventory: http://steam.tools/itemvalue/

high card values are often a very short tempered value for e.g. because it's a newly released game/just got cards or rarely, because the game has super nice boos wallpapers or a weed emoticon. also they are very rare. most people who have hundreds of cards in their inventory will probably have around 47% of them be worth 0.03-0.04 ct (due to being from a set with like 10+ cards for a badge) and another 47% be worth like 0.07 -0.08 ct (due to the full set only consisting of 5 cards) - it's basically coming to to: what does a badge cost - because the only use of cards is to raise your steam lvl. so in my estimation only 6$ of the cards would have an actual 'nice' value - these you don't wanna trade but sell directly most likely. Most badges (again, unless they have nice emoticons/backgrounds) are gonna cost 0.36-0.40 cents to complete.

Still, a 3c card vs 9c card is already 3x difference. Taking them both as equally valuable makes very little sense so those numbers are always calculated based on the cheapest of cards. It's the Steam tax of 15-67% taken when you sell them that gives a bit of profit margin from the trade if done right.

Because people are lazy to count values. I deal in card prices in trades and use the Inventory Expert extension to get a value of the cards. Considering that card prices can range anywhere between 4 and 8 cents even on often-bundled cheap games, I also think saying you want 60 of them is stupid: the value can be anywhere from two and a half dollars to almost five.

So I have a lot of Trading Cards which I don't really need. I want to start some Trades here, for CS:GO Keys mostly.
The question is, what might be the fairest amount of cards to offer for CS:GO Keys?
Since I'm not familiar with the trades here, I want to ask before I accidently make some unfair offers.
Have a nice day :)
