The main thing that bums me out about this sale is the fact that they didn't make it so your Profile could become all Christmas-y by increasing the special badge level.

Was that the auction one, where people could buy that umm, that profile thing? All I remember is getting a bunch of games and never trying a single one. And half of them ended up in a bundle later... Oh well... :)

Well, maybe that's not quite fair, all their writers quit but artists still have work to do... :) But I doubt a single Valve employee has played all of those games, even for five minutes. Some of them are random things nobody heard of, probably voted in by card farming bots for the badge... :)

With the one last year, it was sort of an event. The more you crafted of the special badge, the more Christmas decorations you got on your Profile. For example, if you got it to Level 5 it would have some strings of garlands around each of your Showcases, and for different levels it would show something else. If you did a certain level of badge, it would actually snow on your Profile. I think I had a high enough level, but for some reason it wouldn't show up for me.

My wishlist is filled with stuff. But most of them has a little priority - it's more to keep track of great discounts - at least 75% for base games and 80-95% for DLCs & soundtracks.
This time I'll finally get Planet Coaster for my wife because it has now an awesome price.
And have a bump for great gibs :)

Yeah, if I really wanted some wishlist game it wouldn't be in my wishlist, it would be in my library already. So it's more of a "keep watching for a better price" list. :) Wonder how cheap DayZ will have to get before I pick it up... :)

If my cart won't be blocked with Naruto saga (IIRC, last time it was only available for gifts when some parts of the saga were already in the account), I'll get Boruto DLC and 1 & 2 although I finished them on PS3.

I can't have the "Enhanced Steam" browser thing running on this browser, all the crap in my inventory/library/whatever slows it down too much. :( So I run a different one where I'm not logged in to check for better prices etc. :)
I couldn't decide on the “Whoooaaaaaaa, Dude! 2.0” category since I hadn't played any of them... Just voted for some random thing for the free card. :)
This dlc business is taking all the fun out of buying games. I'd enjoy paying once for something, without having to wonder what's been removed to sell me later... I guess the desire of every publisher is monthly subscriptions, rent-seeking, i.e. where you're constantly paying for a formerly free service instead of actually buying something. Oh well.

I took a look at my wishlist on the first day, but it's hard to remember why I wanted most of those games. Guess that's why they are still in my wishlist?
I'll probably buy something out of habit in a couple days, either some of the cheap stuff, or maybe something good so I can feel bad for not playing it... :)
In previous years you could check the Games Under $5 list for hidden gems, but not any more... Looking today, how many of those things are even games? And do ten renamed "UnitZ" count as ten different games, or one, or maybe zero? :)
Hmm... I was intending to try all the "Steam Awards" games I owned, since they are the good ones, right? Somehow it didn't happen. Looks like I even missed a few days of free cards, too.
Oh, I even forgot to vote for HuniePop, and after writing a review to get that stupid badge too. Oops. It's on sale in the Humble Store, but I wouldn't want to get any of that stinky bundle CV. Guess I'll have to give away the other stuff instead. Sigh. :(
Speaking of sighs, I finally installed Civ 6. Bounced off it a few times, then played some more. Mainly it feels like a Civ game, I guess?
When you're having fun in a game, have you ever taken a step back and wondered, hey, why am I playing this? If you've ever played a MMO "for real" you know what I mean... :)
Anyway, somehow Civ 6 felt just like that. I'm sure it's a good game, but I could have played Civ 2 or 4 instead, and used my money for umm, whatever.
