Orange Box and TF2 card drops

Hi, if I activate The Orange Box gift it'll change my TF2 from F2P to premium, right?

I would like to ask if it will make me eligible for card drops, thanks.

No. You'll just get a premium. You need to spend $9 for every single card drop.
