Hi o/

I'm looking for some new games and would like see some recommendations :)

But these games must be finished within one game; no sequels or prequels or whatever :) Just one game that concludes the story!
Something like Shadow of the Colossus for example-

Thanks~

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West - they did a real good job in character writing and animation. One of the few games that I was actually sad when it ended. Might only be for consoles though.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon probably counts as a spin off.

its a thematic indulgence. far cry 3's story is started and completed within the one game

Nope. SPOILERALERT Jason stays at Rook Island and nobody knows what happens with him.

It has multiple endings, one of which ends with the story DEFINITELY coming to an end. And much like the 3 previous installments, number 4 is also most likely going to have absolutely nothing to do with the previous games' stories. Just because one of the endings is a little vague doesn't automatically mean there's going to be a continuation of it. An actual sequel to the game is highly unlikely.

As far as the other guy bringing up Blood Dragon... that's just laughable. It has absolutely zero to do with Far Cry 3. It's a different game with a different story and different characters, and in the end the only things the 2 games have in common are the mechanics of how the game plays.

Deus Ex... well it has sequels but they are completely different stories, you should choose either the original or Human Revolution.

Actually, the stories intertwine with each other. Deus Ex Invisible War follows Deus EX

And Deus Ex HR is a prequel to Deus Ex 1

Very true, plus they said they were working on another one didn't they?

Conker's Bad Fur Day (There's a remake, but that's it). There was a sequel in the works, but FREAKING MS never wanted to give the greenlight.

Shitty remake if you ask me.

To this day I'm surprised that Nintendo approved the original Bad Fur Day in the first place.

If PC only that cuts out El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron which is a great game not enough people bought (IGN can go DIAF for their review of it. It got the God Hand treatment). For PC I'd say Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. Aww yeah

Gladius for the orignal Xbox. Considered one of the most underrated games of its time due to terrible marketing, but the game itself was a blast for me. No sequels or prequels at all.

Actually...

Although notch backed out of funding psychonauts 2 it is still possible that they will make it.

Remember Me - came out in June. There MAY be a sequel/prequel in the works, but nothing has been officially stated and I can tell you that the story does wrap up rather well.

I really wish more companies would make a strong statement and end a game/series when its actually appropriate. I hate the trend of turning everything into a franchise.

Great game! I still think it's sad, that it was so badly promoted.

They tried actually, it had commercials, ads in magazines, and a trailer right in the Baldur's Gate game.

The problem (IMO) was that Baldur's Gate took so many kudo's that no one really paid attention to it. I am sure glad I did, I liked Baldur's Gate a lot, but I found Planescape SO much more innovative and interesting.

Breath of Death VII kind of implies there was a BoD I-VI... but there really wasn't. Good game. As is Cthulhu Saves the World.
