Congrats on your fatherhood and best wishes in possible future marriage. :)
A lot of people have advice, I'll just say only you know what is best for you, and nobody shall judge you for it.
I got married 7 years ago, yeah I used to have a lot more time for leisure activities like gaming, watching movies, etc. which I really don't have so much time for anymore. Instead we spend our time together, finding new things to enjoy.
And a funny story... my wife was not a gamer at all, but the funny thing was one day while I was playing a multiplayer game and ignoring her someone joined in the game using her name... and then that person started talking to me and telling me it's time to make dinner... and I walked to the other room and saw she had learned what game I was playing, gotten the game and installed it, connected to different servers until she found the same server I was on and joined the game to play with me... :) After that we played together mostly every day for more than a year, she became a pretty competitive player, even joined a clan... it was really unexpected and we both had a lot of fun. But it was her decision and everybody is different.
Good luck & hope to see you around again in the future. ;)

I'm happy you are having a child. I have three and one on the way. And the oldest is not even 5! I have much less time for gaming and computer than I used to, and it is totally worth it. Also, marriage is wonderful. Don't let people scare you away from it. It is a good good thing. You should have someone to give you good advice, to build you up when things are tough. But it is good, and I wish you the best. Mazel Tov!

Congrats Witte, that are some huge steps ahead. Just be sure to make the decision that feels right for you. To be honest, I can totally relate to that. I became a father about 6 years ago. I mean even before that my wife wasn't very fond of me playing computer games. once you're a dad, your time just vanishes...
Concerning giving up gaming, for me it's just a very important hobby and also almost the only one since I had an injury and shouldn't play soccer anymore. So I was able to convince my wife to (at least) accept my hobby and not to try and force me to giver it up. Nowadays I only play a bit when everything is finished and kids are asleep. But it's also important for me, cause gaming is the way I keep in touch with my best friends for almost 20 years now. We meet online every other week on Friday nights to play together and about once a year irl. I couldn't imagine giving this up.
I wish all the best to you and your young family!

Congrats, mate, and all the best in future endeavours. Although, I'm sure you'll come back some day. :)
I got married 9 months ago and, even though I don't have time for gaming as much as I used to, I manage to squeeze in some game time here and there. Like others have said, it's all about compromise.

I would like to say thank you for almost a good year on SteamGifts. I meet many new people, made new friends through SteamGifts.
It may well be many of you reading this do not know who I am, but as such is seen not known. However, I have an ongoing event in which I give a game away every day for a whole year. Here, for the time I've just been too busy to SteamGifts when I shall be a father here about three months, at the same time moved in the apartment with my girlfriend so are not entitled to time giving out and there is much to be planned.
My girlfriend is not very super fan of gaming, so it's also why I do not get to spend as much time on the computer anymore and will have to leave SteamGifts, but who knows maybe I will come back one day?
Gaming is fun but things IRL is part importantly I would say. I'm really in love with my girlfriend, so has considered to propose to her, and if I take me along to it then there is not such thing as gaming more but is willing to drop gaming for her.
Once back to the reason I'm doing this post. The reason I'm doing this post is because I said, I have an event in time, but when I leave SteamGifts must of course not be cheated for the last giveaways. So my plan is to speed run the last giveaways.
Hope you are okay with this guys.
You can find the giveaways here then I have time to post them:
