Unfortunately the license for Kung Fu Panda Showdown of Legendary Legends is coming to an end.
On January 1, 2019 the time will come to remove the game from Steam. For a limited time before that happens, we have added a special Final Showdown bundle that includes the game and all the DLC for 50% off.

Bundle is most likely unavailable in a lot of regions due to price limits for bundles on Steam (if it costs below $5.00 i.e. at least $0.50 average per item, since the bundle contains 10 items)

Don't buy the bundle if you don't care about +1ing your DLC count. The base game has all of the DLC unlocked by default, so it's pointless to buy the bundle, just buy the game itself. I guess they never cared enough to implement the DLC properly or just didn't care that everyone gets it for free.

I just went for the base game, and it looks like your statement is partially true. While all the characters are there, and all the stages, those Jombie skins (greenish appearance for certain characters) are missing except for the Porcupine, if I'm not mistaken. Not sure what they are or if they are any special, but this is what I noticed after comparing to the screen shots. Or do I miss something here?

All the DLCs are in the base game. I have the Master Chicken and Li free DLC installed, but that's probably unlocked in the base game as well XD
The Jombie DLCs are just skins. Press RB on their original variants to use those skins. Porcupine is just weird because there's no standard skin for it.

Thanks for the notification, time for my first refund request ever (I did buy the full bundle despite knowing the DLC isn't needed -- now it's cheaper than the base game alone would have been >_>)

Somebody on RemGC said the Bundle would be removed now that the DLC are discounted -- sure hope that won't happen before I can rebuy it, then. (Can't find any official source for that claim, though)

It's now just too cheap for most of regions. Bundles have min price of $0.49 per item.
This leaves bundle only in US & Europe (excl. UK/Poland because it's cheaper there).
So could just be assumption.

They get removed because of licensing issues. They return because it's profitable to renew those licenses, or after time could be set aside to remove licensed content [eg, music tracks] from the game files, and they don't return when licensing issues make it too complicated to allow for renewal. It's why Mafia 2 came back when Mafia 3 was released, why Deadpool has gotten removed and readded multiple times now, and why the various Spider-Man games have not yet been restored.
For a poorly received game for an outdated IP, it seems rather unlikely it'd be high priority for a comeback.
..that said, there also doesn't seem to be much merit in acquiring this game to begin with, by the same considerations.

Since its still available atm, guess try removing that free one from your account. Check your profile page and see the dlc count. Then add the free dlc and refresh the profile to see if it adds +1.would do it myself but i just refunded the game to groupbuy the ig bundle when thats available :/

The keys should still work after the game left the store. I still have dirt 3 keys when they were free on humble bundle before the game was removed two years ago and they still work
As for the DLC count, who cares? If you look at my profile it says I have 1500+ Games and 1400+ DLC. I'm actually shocked about how much DLC I apparently have it only shows how fucked up publishers and developers are...

Ah yea accidentally replied to this rather than joseahfer regarding the dlc. Just a suggestion regarding the count. Dont really care about dlc count either, just a game collector. I'd be wary of this. They can't legally sell the game after the license expires so technically the game shouldn't be available to anyone that buys the bundle after that point.

IANAL, but I believe the argument could be made that the sale from the developer / publisher to Indie Gala was made prior to the cut off of the license.
At that point Indie Gala is merely reselling product already paid for (as opposed to acting as a middle man for product yet to be paid for like a store front would).

Typically developers/publishers get paid after a bundle has ended based on how many copies of the bundle have sold. So whilst they may have provided the keys prior to the expiration they will be "profiting" from it after the license has already expired.
Either way I'm just putting the warning out there as games being removed from bundles mid-sale isn't unheard of.

I agree, it's good that you include that warning.
I'd just like to hope that the developer and/or the bundler would be aware of potential problems and not go in knowing they would have to remove the game mid-bundle. Hopefully IG offered the dev / publisher some kind of deal where the latter got paid upfront. If I was the developer of a game that was about to no longer be profitable at all, I'd take a lump sum payment which may or may not reflect actual sales, than nothing at all.

After the way they've handled this so far I can't side with the Publisher at all. First they announced it would be on sale prior to removal, then they further reduced the price and now they've bundled it. This isn't the first game they've had to discontinue due to license expiration either so they know exactly what they're doing.

i believe so far none of the removed IG keys was IGs fault, it happened only one so far for me while buying all bundles and it was the infamous urban war defense incident where the developer kept lieing around and community banning innocent customers and i buying every single IG bundle since 2017 mid-summer.
I hope they prepared for these things, probably they paid now beforehand? hopefully.

indeed pretty bad. I just refunded my copy, I didn't buy it myself when I put up this thread. I would try though in your case, it's your goddamn right, and the worst that can happen is they don't refund it, just put a note that you found a better deal again for this, simple as that.

Nah, with my usual luck, I'd be worried something goes wrong with the keys from Indiegala. I did buy the game (before this thread even ;)) to actually play it (with my kid -- for myself I'd have been a lot less interested) and not just for the +1, otherwise I'd be a lot more annoyed I think.

Im pretty sure Steam refunds are automated just like their support answers they don't care which games you refunded. Here's the warning message I got from Steam after refunding it:

Wasn't worried about the Steam side of it, just the Indiegala side of it (for example they might have to remove the game from the bundle come January 1st, unlikely as it is. As I actually wanted the game for my kid, I'd rather not risk it.)

Yes true for you when you have euros. In Canada there is no steam bundle, $5.74 for the base game and $5.86 for all DLC. And most regions don't have this bundle only US /EU and Switzerland. Anyways, the base game has every DLC already, and the indiegala deal is still better than any deal on Steam

EDIT 2: looks like the steam bundle is now the same price as the base game, so it doesn't really matter what you buy as both have all DLC.

License expires. I know we have seen this already with other games that returned (micky mouse, alan wake) but I guess some people will appreciate the heads up.
