Should users be able to write a SINGLE reply to negative trade feedback (in order to present their point of view)?
No. Reason: Totally useless. False negative feedback should be reported and removed (even if it is slow as fuck). True negative feedback will also get comments negating what the victim is saying. Revenge feedbacks are false negative feedback too, and leads to a suspension by support, so it is already regulated.
Pointless bonus question: Impersonators impersonate traders with a lot of rep to appear as trustworthy in the eyes of the victim. Get a friend giving you negative trade feedback will result in him (when not both of you) getting suspended of this site.
Second pointless bonus question: Stop making pointless questions T_T

I'm not really sure why I'm posting this since I am not a trader and I don't really care that much but since there are some people who care about those unjustified negative trade feedbacks I just wanted to bring out this suggestion. I looked up the last 3-6 months and couldn't find a similar suggestion but I guess it has been proposed before. To the actual suggestion:
It may be helpful if Steamgift users could write a reply/give a statement to negative trade feedback they received which will be presented directly under said negative feedback. In order to avoid a useless discussion with the feedback poster this should be limited to a sinle reply only. This way both sides point of view could be presented in one place giving other users the possibility to get a quick picture of the situation and if said user seems trustworthy. In many cases this information can be obtained by visiting the profile of the other party as the most likely got a counter feedback but like said before it would be in one place. Also there are some cases where it might be the only possibility to give a proper statement. For example if an user is impersonated and receives an unjustified negative feedback he can't/shouldn't give the other user a revenge feedback since it is wrong (and against the rules) and based on a "misunderstanding". Such revenge feedbacks may be limited this way and reduce a drop of support tickets in the sea of work. Is it clear what I mean? I tend to express myself overly complicated -_-
Pointless bonus questions:
Do impersonaters only or mostly impersonate traders with 0 negative trade feedback? If so, has anyone ever tried to get a friend giving them a purposefully negative trade feedback in order to reduce their attractiveness for impersonators? It could be somehting like: "I'm a friend of user XYZ. He is a great trader. We just want to use this negative feedback to raise awareness for potential impersonators." Technically it would still be false use of trade feedback but in agreement with the user.
Has anyone else noticed that most of those poor users who do not know that it isn't allowed to make giveaways for free games choose often a rather short giveaway timeframe? As they would try to hurry before anyone notices it. Strange O.o
