Will you consider the Epic Game Store your new default library?
Already have both games on Steam. Still grabbing the free copies since I already have the Epic launcher sitting on my computer. Keeping Steam as primary library. Epic would have to come up with a lot more to even become my secondary game library.
But damn they are starting strong with their publicity stunt. Hope the developers are getting paid well for this.

I'll just buy wherever is cheapest, same with key retailers like Humble Store. I won't swap off Steam anytime soon, but opening a second launcher doesn't require any effort (plus you can bind any executable to be Steam launchable anyway).

I remember when amazon did that to compete with google play store, I guess it didn't work as well as they expected.
I think they should rather try to copy the gog connect method if they really want to sway some people. Or that plus the freebies, why not.

I've been trying to avoid getting new launchers but I have to say... Giving away a game from my wishlist? I'm swayed. Don't see myself migrating to make purchases there, but I'll be glad to leech any interesting titles. :P

If it doesn't activate on Steam, it doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned - with the exception of "standalone" titles like MMOs. I have a bunch of DRM free games from various sources. I think. Somewhere. If it isn't in the steam interface I don't remember I own it. Heck, I find stuff I don't remember buying in my steam inventory and I don't even have a lot of games compared to some people.

Hehe that's the problem I have too. It's not that I mind having different launchers, I just literally forget about the games I have on them. And because I don't have the other launchers running, it's inevitable that when I do start one up to play a game, there's a big update and I get over it and play something on steam instead.

If it's free, it's for me.
I won't spend money on the Epic Games store, but I'll take the free games.

They still have a ways to go in terms of basic features. No wishlist, no user reviews, not really any way to search properly or discover what's available... hopefully all this will be coming soon, but it's weird that they'd release without something as basic as a wishlist, if nothing else.

In general I dont like EG and their monetizing policy (super expensive skins in Fortnite) but if the connected accounts work for other games the same way as for Fortnite then I definately grab the freebies even if I already own them on steam, just so that I can maybe play them free on PS4 too...

Well... imagine how ironic login in Epic Games with your Steam login...

At the end, mostly interested in the freebies only
