Standard version at key stores for price of starter edition at ubistore. I dont have any of those but looks natural not to overpay at official retailers for ripped off version when I could have full version at approximately same price.

Standard version if you value time over money, as unlocking operators is much easier.
Starter if you value money over time.

If I want to play just 2 defenders and 2 attackers (4 operators) at most and ignore the rest should I get the starter?

i would still find a cheap copy of the full game, if your team takes those 2 operators you are stuck with the recruit :D and it's better to have more operators to play around with rather than use the same few all the time.

Definitely gonna want to unlock at least 5 on each side to ensure you always have a non-Recruit to play. You could get away with less if you don't mind begging occasionally, but that wont always work.

Alright, thanks for the info.

Standard in my opinion. Why? Because the time it takes to unlock 2 base operators in the starter is the time you take to unlock all 20 base operators in the base game. Season 1 and 2 operators cost the same for both editions though, but still.

I bought starter last year, and while unlocking operators is slow, it gave me time to actually learn them, so I didn't mind and really enjoyed the game. Plus, getting a starter allowed me to buy two copies — for me and my son.

Standard is much easier and quicker, of course, if you can afford it.

Standard, unlocking Vanilla operators in Starter is painfully slow.

I bought starter only because my go-to online FPS games are CSGO and Dirty Bomb, I don't think I will play this more than 10-15 hours.

Id say standard edition, i have to say that 7.50 for starter must look tempting, but its a lot of grinding. Aside from that its an amazing game and you should definitely buy it!

If you´ve previoiusly unlocked operators during free weekends the starter edition will reset those! Pretty sucky move and only declared on some spreadsheet in the ubisuck store. Also the normal edition is only 5 bucks more on a sale, a no-brainer if you value your sanity, as the grind is very very real.

Gotta say i hate the PvP part in Siege, i regard it as a co-op game :)

what ? where ? here the starter is 7,50 and the normal is 20€ almost x3 :\

I'm considering the starter because I plan to play it every then and now, I feel like 20€ is a waste of money :\

I bought the normal edition (on sale) for 20€, during that time the starter edition was´nt on sale and went for 15€ - i´ve never seen starter edition go for 7.5, but it´s perfectly reasonable of them to have lowered the price!

Since I can't find info on this, if I get the standard one will I also get 600 r6 credits? or is that for the starter and complete editions only? And will the cost of year 1 operators decrease with the standard edition? Just year 2 operators remain at 25 000?

  1. No
  2. Yes
  3. No, they just won´t be increased like in starter edition
  4. Year 1 operators too are 25k

Have a look at the spreadsheet, middle of the page where it says "year 2 lineup" ;)

I've been playing the starter edition if you really want to get into the game get the standard or even pay extra and get more, but if you just want to play it now and then just for fun starter is ok, its a hell of a grind to get new ops so its best to only buy operators at a discount with the bit of R6 currency you get i bought 4 with mine
