My favourite is Bethesda just because of their epic RPG s that have over 100 game play hours per game. Who is your favourite game developer and why?

I'd say Bethesda because Todd Howard is THE MAN. But CD Projekt RED is pretty cool too.
Ustwo is also a group of some really cool people.

It used to be an id Software fan but I gave up on them after they were eaten alive by Bethesda/Zenimax. My current favourite developers are Valve Software, Epic Games, Supergiant Games, Flying Wild Hog, Gearbox Software, Running With Scissors. Yeah, I am an indie friendly GNU/Linux user. B-)

The New Order was epic though, I'm no expert but I can imagine some former id Software guys might have worked on it.

Wolfenstein: The New Order was developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. The only connection of id Software with the game is the game engine (id Tech 5); the rights of the franchise were given to MachineGames by id Software.

MachineGames is a Swedish game developer company based in Uppsala. I hardly assume many former/current id Software (Texas, USA) staff worked on the title.

Apparently they don't have so many fans here.

Oh I love them as well, apart from the massive game breaking bugs that tends to sneak into their games (though the last two of their games that I've played, Stick of Truth & Pillars of Eternity seem to have both been working well enough).

It's always a toss up between Blizzard and Bethesda for me.
Blizzard win by having more quality games outside of the same formula. While i loved Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim - Blizzard have been innovative many times over.

My current favorite is Bethesda due to how many hours I can scrape out of their games but not necessarily their quality or recent originality. Prior to Morrowind tho my old favorite was Squaresoft.

Codemasters although if you ask me another day I'd probably say someone else. Mainly thinking back to the stuff they did in the 90s when I say them although Grid and Colin Mcrae are lots of fun.

They've fallen on hard times, but I'd still say Tim Schafer and Double Fine. Tim Schafer has been involved in quite a number of games that I absolutely loved.

Long time ago, when they still made games, i would have said square enix, nowadays i would say 2k, i know they are mostly publisher (i think) but they have some of the best games I played in the last few years.

None, they all suck and only care about my money.
But also all, as long as they are willing to make their games worth my money.
