Hmm, copying of other games at this point isn't really an argument.
Really, I prefer to judge a game if it's good, not if it's a clone of something else.
If it's better than the game it's copying off, and the devs feel they have a right to something, then let the devs of the original game sort out their own legal battles.
I'm more sick of seeing actual, shit games on Steam

I know this wasn't your point but rather the unintended double entendre but the proper way to say this, for people who can tie their own shoe laces, would be Impostor Among Us, right?
Edit: Nevermind. The answer is pretty obviously Yes. Like Injustice: Gods Among Us.
There really should be a mandatory intermediate English test for anybody who wants to publish something on Steam or any of the other big storefronts 😅

They could have kept the double entendre and the trademark infringement avoidance with "Imposter Insider"!
Disagree about the English thingy though. It'd be nice, from an English-speaking perspective, but I don't think it should be a barrier to great non-English-speaking devs (who would just have someone else take the hypothetical test anyway).

I know you specified great and in all fairness there ARE some great games that have terrible localization i.e. Terraria but in my opinion if they removed every game with subpar English from Steam in 4 out of 5 cases nothing of value would be lost.
Also even if you don't personally understand English well, everybody has a friend or an acquaintance who speaks decent English, right? And if they don't they should simply hire somebody who does. Understanding English on an intermediate or advanced level is an extremely common skill nowadays so it can't be that expensive. There's probably tons of people who would do it for exposure, a couple of pizzas and the experience to have contributed to a video game alone.

Yeah I nearly replied with "The game genre / concept is older than Among Us" but I clicked through to double check the link you provided, and wow, that's more than just being in the same genre. Really is a blatant ripoff. Glad I didn't get ahead of myself and look like a fool ;P
Though I suppose in a way this is only a testament to the success of Among Us, because it usually takes something good to get devoted 'mockbuster' ripoffs.

if its shit it will be shit. but if they put some effort into it, it may be the next big thing

The concept of Among Us/Mafia/Werewolf style games is in itself not a novelty so I don't have an issue with people trying something with it. But blatant ripoffs are exactly that. Trying to earn money and reputation by such misdirection is rather scummy. Although in a sense I can see the irony in trying to find the good game amidst all the Impostors.
