Aaah, well then I have something else for you. Added.

I have plenty in my backlog who fit "hard platformer" ( I look at you Ori DE) besides the ones I finished already, so I'll pass; still have a BUMP !

I loved n+ in school, so there's that. Also about 8 hours in Downwell: http://steamcommunity.com/id/mushroomscarab/stats/appid/360740, unfortunately I can't show how long I played vvvvvvv for as I only played it when I had no way of connecting to the internet. Just getting into shovel knight too: http://steamcommunity.com/id/mushroomscarab/stats/appid/250760

Just checked my laptop, was on The Final Challenge, so must have benn near the end. Just couldn't handle the screen moving

I have too many games, so I don't qualify.
But just got Shovelknight, so that will keep me entertained and annoyed because I have terribly platformer skills but I DO like 'm
Bump!

Nah, far too much instakill stuff. I like platformers and have several ones. But I don't like the ones which are just hard for being hard as it would be some kind of quality remark. Technically I fulfill all criterias but as you can guess I'll pass on this.

Nice idea and well, I think I qualify ^^ I would like to have a chance at it :) Some similar games you were mentioning (linking AStats is quicker for me, should be good?): VVVVVV, Super Meat Boy, Downwell, Electronic Super Joy: Groove City, 140, Limbo. Thanks for the initiative!

I love 2D hardcore platformers! N++ was great and the controls were very good which is a critical thing for the genre.
I have it already so I am not posting to participate in the giveaway.
I recommend The Sun and Moon to anyone who hasn't checked it out yet!

You appear to have quickly lost interest in Super Meat Boy and only appeard to idle Electronic Super Joy. Are you sure you're interested in devoting a piece of your soul to N++?

You appear to have quickly lost interest in Super Meat Boy and Electronic Super Joy...but on the other hand you do have almost 50 hours in La-Mulana. Are you sure you're interested in devoting a piece of your soul to N++?
Comment has been collapsed.
I played Meat Boy before I started Steam. Didn't feel like replaying it for achievements. As for Electronic Super Joy, I'm not done with it yet. So far I only idled it few hrs (or rather, I got it idled, because I forgot to add it to blacklist) and played first few stages. I will finish it eventually, it's just not my top priority.
I don't plan to devote any piece of my soul to it, to be honest, but I'd be interested in playing it.

Not entering since I already own N++, but to everyone who isn't sure if he'd like N++. Play the first (and free) N-game here: http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/n.html

LMAO...I guess he's marking his territory? Or just trying to get a little scratching on side of the cheek.

I haven't played much of the plataformers I have ['Cause of my TF2 addiction], but I finished the flash version of N

Dang, I need to replay VVVVVV. That game was so fun. The soundtrack especially. Good and fitting music is key for fast paced precision platformers like these, imo.
Not entering the giveaway, but thanks for making it!

Bumping on behalf of Spelunky!

Seplunky is serious business too. :)

It is indeed a Difficult 2D Platformer, but kind of different, though, from N++. Check out N++ and let me know if you'd like an invite-- I'd be happy to invite you. I trust that you'll want the game if you want an invite.

Considering I've only gotten through 19% of Super Meat Boy, I'd say I don't belong here. :P

I've beaten 140, INK, and VVVVVV. I have over 12 hours logged for the Steam version of Super Meat Boy. I have only 3 hours for The Sun and Moon, but I'm definitely planning on playing more of it.
If that meets the requirements, I would love to join the giveaway. Either way, thanks for the generosity. :)

Steam isn't showing you with any achievements in VVVVVV, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Added.
[Edit: looks like they added achievements later. Nevermind!]

Yeah, it's been a while since I've beaten VVVVVV. I'm not really into achievements anymore so I never went back to get them.
And thanks for the invite! :)

Consider yourself fortunate. Good luck!

hello there, would love to try n++, absolutely love platformers, vvv, smb, battleblock, spelunky, you name it. This would be nice challenge, many thanks

Forgive me, but Steam isn't showing any playtime for VVVVVVV, no achievements for Spelunky (did they add them later?), and barely played SMB.
I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt though. Any thoughts? Would you donate a portion of your soul to N++? :P

Actually, I'm eager to play N++ for a while. I may not fullfil all the requirements but hey, worth the try, yes?
Thanks anyway!
(I finished VVVVVV before the achievements. I'd also suggest Pinkman as a very similar game to N++. Lots of fun, awesome soundtrack and a devilish level design)
Comment has been collapsed.
The "requirements" are not absolute-- you're very close. Yes, Pinkman looks like N++ lite. It looks like you lost interest in Electronic Super Joy and SMB, but I hope you'll like N++ if you win.

Thx for the invite, accepted!
Actually I have ESJ installed, I'm planning to get back to it soon (I've been playing Hyper Light Drifter a lot recently) but I believe I finished ESJ Groove City. Sometimes I get stuck in an specific challenge and I tend to put it away for a good time. Same with SMB (except that in this case I really feel I'll need a controller, which I don't own). Bit.Trip Runner 2 was a good case. Bought it, played for a while then left it. Then, almost one year after I got back to it and went 100% - my first 100% game btw.
And let's not even get started about SuperHexagon. That last level almost drove me crazy.

I would like to enter, dont know if I will met all requirements, have spent a bunch of time in VVVVV (actually finished it)and 1001 spikes but most of the time with steam in offline mode.
This is the second time this week I see the need of achivements, will have to econsider my offline gaming.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, the achievement thing is kind of arbitrary, but it's the only way for a stranger to know if you've actually played a game.
Is there an advantage of offline mode, assuming you have access to an Internet connection?
In any event, I've added you. If you think N++ is a game you'd enjoy and devote a piece of your soul to, then please accept my add and I'll send you the link.

Loved to play the original N a couple years back.
As for the requirements:
1 to 5: check
6 Similar games: I completed (including all achievements) Limbo, Schein, Out there Somewhere and Castle of Illusion

I'd love a chance at N++, on my wishlist and heard good things about it. I've completed Super Meat Boy (although I played the drm free version). On steam I have about 40 hours invested in rogue legacy and 20+ in Salt and Sanctuary (neither game is precisely a hard core minimal 2d game, but both have difficult plaforming sequences). I've also finished the first two league of evil games on iOS.
Hope I meet the requirements for your giveaway! 😊

I've completed Super meat boy and i meet all remaining criteria.

I have to many games to enter, but I just have to comment to brag that I beat VVVVVV with 100% trinkets (including THAT one) in under 100 deaths (but before achievements were added)

Hi, Steamgifts. By all accounts, N++ is a hardcore platformer that requires you devote a piece of your soul to it in order for you to complete it. It's "a fast-paced, momentum-based platformer about darting around obstacles, narrowly evading enemies and collecting gold in a beautiful minimalist landscape." It even has local co-op, level editor, global level sharing, and more.
In other words, I would completely suck at this game and it would be wasted on me.
I'd have a key from Tier 3 of the Humble Overwhelmingly Positive Bundle from a couple of months ago, and would like it to find a good home—maybe yours?
Please let me know if you:
I will add you on Steam send you the GA link. Obviously, I'll know whom I invited, so I'll know if it's leaked, and will delete the giveaway.
These are not absolute requirements. If you're, say, missing one of the criteria above, or very close on two of them, let me know, especially if you've had it on your wishlist since before 10-March-17..
I'm only looking for about 10 entrants to the GA, at which point I'll close the thread. The GA will run over the weekend, ending Monday.
[Edit: Play the first free "N" game here. Thank you, dooder!]
Oh, and I reserve the right to change criteria if necessary. Maybe nobody wants this game. :P
