I got Haunted House (wishlist game) for 2080 gems. At their current rate I would have made a bit under $2 by selling them so that's an effective 90% off for me. (Plus I got the badge as a bonus.)

Disney Planes for 2400 gems, not bad

Won Fading Hearts with 9600 gems. That's about 50% off atm. Not bad, considering i made most of my gems with those 3 cent wallpapers :)

Chainsaw Warrior for 2700 gems

I won 4 different games one of which is Eufloria. I spent less then 100 Gems for all of them :) (it was just the beginning of the auction). So I like the event :)
To sum up everything written here already:

 - the chances to win must be better at the middle of the event (for example, from 30th to 60th round)

 - most of the games are too overvalued for current gems price. So it may be much better to get money from emoticons, bgs and sacks

 - you have to be patient

I just regret i didn't buy 1000000 gems at first hour and can't sell it now, looking how price skyrocketed

Got an adventure game I´ve been curious about for a while: Lost Horizon for 2405 gems

Well i totaly missed that whole thing,i think it was the smart thing to do because Cristmas sale.

Like , the only thing i am interested are indie games... since i have 5 sack of gems worth i think that (since they cost 0.93 each) i'd better off selling them lol.

Nothing and I'm not GOING to win anything even though I'll enter.

BTW I think it was masterpiece by Valve with this sale, according to their profit.

was for free for them. Moreover all fees goes to Valve:

So it's not even sale and they profited like hell just thanks to idea, good leverage on developers and people who likes to gamble or like some purely digital addons to theirs profiles.

I spent about a buck (plus using stuff already in my inventory) and won HTR+ Slot Car Simulation for 5,000 something gems. Not a bad deal, considering retail is $20. My strategy was trying to win a game not many people wanted.
