Why would a link with confirmation be needed?

So wait, the site that basically got banned from Steam for wants to ban people for breaking a rule?
Oh....
Hmmm....

its not because of the promos that the group was banned
it was because of the contests FYI

I want the badge but damn , the game turned out so bad. I don't care abt the graphics but its so badly configured and the controls are so laggy and crappy, I'm crying in shame for voting this into steam.

There are bad games on Steam regardless of your voting. Enjoy your free cards and +1 library and don't worry too much :)

Just let it go. If you mindlessly comment on GA-s, which involves a WGN given game, and it turns out that it was from a bundle, you will get suspended for 2 days, like me. I learnt my lesson, and I will just let them go. You can't tell if it'S a WGN game or not, because proof is usually not included in GA description. It can be that most of those GA-s involves WGN keys, but if you fail too many times, you will get suspended. Anyway if they give away WGN keys, I hope they will be punished in life somehow.

Does it really matter that much? Say someone voted for it, got a key but then looked at the store page and decided to give it to someone else instead. They deserve to be punished in life for giving away a freebie they got out of voting for a game?
People take this stuff way too seriously.

erm, you forget one simple thing: all these promo keys giveaway were done unde the terms and services of teh site which is a private one aka they can make any rule they wish.
It doesnt mattter whether or not someone likes it, thry have every right to revoke keys from people who break the rules and thats that.

Oh I know they can but I really don't see them doing that. They would have to track each key given away to the user who did it, then have the actual game's dev try and revoke them with Valve since I doubt they could revoke the keys themselves.
This could result in possible bad PR for the dev, who in all likeliness does not care about the fate of the keys. They only wanted to get greenlit, I doubt they care if the key was activated on account X or account Y.

I can't imagine that WGN would have the access to revoke keys since the request has to go to Valve/Steam.
I suppose if the dev really wanted to make sure this didn't happen they could get the account name + key match from WGN and then contact Valve themselves but that seems like a lot of work for no real gain.

Clowns trying to profit from their personal-use-only WGN keys got burned, that's a real gain to me. :)
If you poke around in this forum you will find several of those fine fellows wondering why their keys didn't work, was the giveaway winner lying, or is there some mysterious reason why that free key I agreed not to give away on a giveaway site went bad? Hmm...

They just give those keys out to random people. They do have them matched to specific accounts, and when they see those people put them up on giveaway sites, they track down the specific key and use it or give it to someone who uses it so they no longer have a working key. They don't need any special access for that.

I am going to go ahead and close this thread since it seems people don't realise they can get in trouble for certain comments of theirs (and I don't mean only in this thread).
If you want to report something because it violates some site's rules, go ahead and report it to that site/forum. There is no reason to break this site's rules to do it.

If you see giveaways for this game do not enter them as they are free Steam Keys from a site called Who's Gaming Now which they have been given free by the developer for the site to giveaway, so all you are doing is giving the person easy positive score and boosting their amount in dollars they have given for a free key they were given and also they may be blocked form ever using the site again as their Steam Account is linked to it.

PS. The owner of the site has not given these users permission to give these keys away.
The rules on the site:
1) You must be a member of the old WGN Steam group and have voted for the game on Greenlight.
2) You must have a public Steam profile.
3) PLEASE NOTE: Limited to 1 entry per household. Keys are for personal use only and NOT to be used for trade, resale or unathorised giveaways.
