Comment to entry ratio is where I would start. It gives you an initial idea of how much time people spend on the site and where there priorities are. But of course, the group creator needs to lead by example, so I don't think you can use that :P Forum activity will give you the best idea of what people are like before you invite them. People who aren't active on the forum are usually just after free games and will bleed your community dry.
I appreciate the offer and would love to help you out, but I'm already in a few tight groups and I wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to this one as well. Best of luck though! Sorry I couldn't help out more.

I am interested in joining the group. I have a few games I am wanting to give away and I don't want to create a public giveaway, (STALKER, Fable, Toy Soldiers, portal 2...) I thought about creating another forum giveaway, but giving away to a group like this would be nice.
