I've been wondering about that since spotting these last week. Would love to know. They had one Free last week that was actually .99 cents on Steam.

I tried Chess Clash out of curiosity but it looks really meh. The animations are shit.

I did. So far most of them were very basic and do feel more suitable to a touch device. A couple straight up closed upon launching and there was one I tried last week that seemed like it should be an ad simulator since you saw an ad before you saw the title screen, and it seemed every few seconds, making it unplayable.

I was thinking the Publisher may be something to consider.
Fetch is actually Big Fish and priced appropriately if it were not Free. Shares the same Publisher on Steam. Versus the many that are listed from Strategy Empire LLC, Games 4 Teen and some others that appear repeatedly. All pricing at $80 if it were not on sale for $0.

They are mobile games. Most games on the Microsoft store are mobile games, but because of Microsoft's initiative to cross pc and phone/tablet, we are able to play them on Windows 10.

I later noticed the developer. at first I thought that the new part is exclusively open.

For that "filmmaker" app it actually says in the description that its "100 % free app"
I'd bet 95% of all these apps and games just changed their free to play titles to "100% off" just to boost traffic
