I like Yorkshire puds and you can pay £1 extra for a giant Yorkshire pud at the carvery at my local pub but I've worked out it's a con. It takes up most of the plate so you have to fit your carvery inside the pud but that leaves you about 2" diameter less room for all your meat and veg. I am genuinely thankful this is one of my bigger concerns in life...

On the other hand, with some tactical snapping and tearing you might just have yourself an overflow barrier around 3/4 of the rim of the plate to facilitate piling everything a little higher.
Damn, just finished tea and now I'd kill for a Yorkshire pud....

You see I'm trying to work out a way to cheat but they have a pretty sneaky system. They put your cutlery on your table while you are getting your carvery so you don't get access to that until you get back to your table with your food. You get issued with your Yorkshire pud and then immediately your meat is sliced and you get you get offered gravy. So I'd then have to tear open my gravy filled pud with my hands in order to fit in extra veg, stuffing, mash, etc. Which would make a hell of a mess...

Oh we have to do the gravy ourselves at my carvery so you do everything first then add on the gravy if thats what you want. so if i was to one day need extra room i would never have to worry about making a mess
