Depending on what you say, it seems that you don´t like to give to people that don´t give back.
That is exactly why I do only group giveaways. Public winners rarely say thanks and most of the time they have a reaaaally bad ratio.

I'd have to disagree. I do level 6 giveaways mainly, and most people are thankful. I've had comparatively less success with the few whitelist giveaways, surprisingly.
(As for actually joining groups, I just haven't found any that interest me, or when they do interest me, there are so many rules I at least fail in one or two of them.)

Some groups add a lot of overhead to SG, that´s true.
Nevertheless, I prefer to do group/wl GAs over public GAs.
