I'm looking for a good singleplayer game of any sort other then Point and click but preferably something with a fair length storyline I've been hoping to try something new because most of my steam games are Multiplayer and I have few singleplayer game and most of them I've finished (Halflife2, GTA IV, Arma II... etc) I'm hopefully looking for somerthing open world as I have Deus Ex and Just cause 2 on my watch list

For open world, you'll probably be interested in anything made by Bethesda, as well as the Prototype games.

As far as other games go, Darksiders 1 and 2 are good, as are all the games made by Carpe Fulgur. Aquaria is one of my personal favorites, and it's on sale right now. It's never on sale, so I'd recommend getting it.

you know half life 2 is actually majorely a oint and click game!

"Point and click" refers to point-and-click adventure games. These are games with low emphasis on action, and high emphasis on collecting large amounts of random, seemingly useless items to use on things.

I'm saying this because, since this is the internet, I've got no idea if you're joking or not.

well in half life, you point your sursor and you click, dude dies...

what you discribed is called adventure game :p

from wikipedia: Point and click are the actions of a computer user moving a pointer to a certain location on a screen (pointing) and then pressing a button on a mouse, usually the left button (click)

I'd say that point-and-click games are stuff like Don't Starve where everything is done with the mouse.

By your logic that HL is a point-and-click, any game where you aim with the mouse and the default action / attack button is the left mouse button, is a point-and-click. Making the genre of p-and-c pretty generic since that covers true p-and-c, fps-es, RPGs, adventures, anything in between.

That is absolutely not what ANYONE means when they say a "point and click" game. As the person above you said, it has always meant and will always mean an adventure game that largely focuses on following characters through a story while solving occasional puzzles that usually involve collecting items you find.

Nope, I played first HL with mouse only so I think HL2 also can be finished without even touching keyboard.

I actually know some point and click adventure games where you also have to use a keyboard!

You know "some", every FPS requires keyboard, stop trolling...

I aint trolling, when you think about it a first person shooter is a point and click game!

You point, you click and as lazytev pointed out you als can play some FPS only with the mouse, so you dont require anything.
Besides it doesn't matter what I think as much as it doesn't matter what you think, it's not like the world will change for the bad due to two points of views which dont agree with each other.

By your words, every game that involves mouse and mouse buttons is point-and-click then, this logic is flawed (or again - you are trolling). Beeing able to play an fps with only mouse doesn't mean it's "not required".
"Point and click are the actions of a computer user moving a pointer to a certain location on a screen (pointing) and then pressing a button on a mouse, usually the left button" - in FPS, i'm moving camera, not a pointer, another flawed logic by you.
And what you gonna say if I play half-life on a gamepad.
