Ah, thanks for this. Interestingly, some people had the issue yesterday, and everything is fine for them now. I was fine yesterday, but today I'm @#$!ing borked. Dammit, Steam, stop screwing with stuff, especially in waves. This is almost as annoying as the latest Android update. :D

I had problems updating yesterday but after 2 or 3 attempts it seems to sync ok so not sure what is causing it but you're not alone with these issues. Its annoying but just keep trying throughout the day and it will sync.

The sheer weight of all of Steam's asset flips and shovelware is damaging the space-time continuum. Games need to be resynched more often or they'll get sucked into a black hole.

It happened to me once but after trying a few times it worked. I've synced several times each day and had no more issues.
I didn't think it was a Steam problem when it happened since ESGST sync worked fine, or at least I saw the check mark and thought it worked lol.

Lately there were a few games that I activated (not won here), and I sync'd my profile without any errors, but then I can still enter their GAs here. So I've had to add a few games to my hidden list.
Checking sgtools though I get this message:
has a private profile or SteamCommunity is down
Is SteamCommunity something that SG uses, or does sgtools just happen to use this extra tool?

The still-being-able-to-enter issue is likely games that are marked are "learning" and now read "profile features limited" when you're in Steam. It throws off a lot of the checks that come through the Steam API.
As for the private profile thing, it's fixed for me now. It appears to be affecting people in waves. There's probably some administrative change that Steam is making to profile records that causes them to need to come behind and "clean up," as it were. Looks like you're just part of the next phase. For me, it was resolved in about 36 hours.

Same issue here. It says it updated 50 mins ago, but when I try to update manually, it says it's private (just double-checked, both options are set to public as they have been for months).

Also getting the same problem now. Thinks my Steam profile is private when it isn't.. Tried modifying the setting and changing it back but it still doesn't work after trying several times.

Had the same problem since yesterday (1 week without sync). So I tried my luck just 2 mins ago, settings guide pops up, waited for the countdown to try again, and suddenly it worked. Weird stuff...

Yep, out of nowhere, when I go to sync today, SG gives me an error message asking me to switch my Steam profile to public. Of course, my Steam profile IS public, and has been for years. Yes, I went to my profile and double-checked to ensure that nothing accidentally changed. It's still public.
So is anyone else experiencing this? What in the world could be causing it?
