I've never once seen it disabled since it first popped up back in 2017. Certainly haven't seen anything indicating that it's been down since my thread was made, as references to the thread and promotion have come up again several times between then and now.

No, you're probably seeing it re-promoted by other people, like this thread. I don't believe they've ever shut it down unless people don't know what they're doing (and it's not that difficult - get Gwent with GOG Galaxy, you get W1 free). It's just been an open secret for so long, but word of mouth is the loudest, which is why GOG doesn't need to openly promote it. It's just always been there since the start.
