Require tech help (WIN10 sound issue with headset)

The problem is that when I plug in my headset which has an inbuilt microphone, the sound that picked up from that is played through the computer. Its very loud and screechy and the thing is that it only started a couple of days ago. Prior to that the headset worked fine, the computer worked fine and everything was all good. I tested the headset on another device and it worked then so yeah...
