DxWnd - A neat little utility that will force programs to run in a window instead of fullscreen. Great if a game looks all stretched in fullscreen or lags at your resolution or if the game just doesn't have windowed mode and like me you prefer it over fullscreen.

Why the hell would you need a tool that 'backups' drivers? What is that anyway?

In case for some reason you cannot obtain a driver otherwise or the newest version is a piece of crap and the old versions don't exist anywhere.

But mostly it can help if you need to format. If you don't have solid drivers for your network card, video, and stuff like that, kinda hard to get the rest of the drivers from the net. I've definitely seen in the past where restore CDs didn't include network drivers, so after doing a format the person wouldn't be able to get online. Deal with that even once and you'll back them up from then on.

Fraps need to be registered, to use as a full version.
Xfire / raptr seems more legit for gaming.

I had a time when I really needed that Unlocker! Another program like that is Nirsoft OpenedFilesView btw, if someone is interested.

I personally hate foobar2000, I've tried it but I still prefer Winamp:s

I have used Wise registry cleaner but from what I understand, touching the registry barely makes any difference and it's not worth taking the risk that you mess up the registry?
