How many giveways before you won your first?

OK, so I have been entering giveaways on this site for the last 6 months or so and I'm aware that it's completely random. I've entered 729 giveaways so far and I have 2.04 estimated wins. I would like to know how many giveaways you entered before you won your first?

First off, I think he isn't complaining, just seeing what everyone else has done; second, raising your contributor value does not increase your chance to win, rather it allows you to enter into more exclusive giveaways.

And that's exactly why it gives you a better chance to win something. A giveaway with a higher required CV will generally have less people in it and thus make you more likely to win.

honestly, i don't see the difference between $50 and $100 CV right now. $30 and $30.01 are negligible too. $200 vs. $300 is also nil (and the breaks get larger - $500 is a so-called tipping point but the real tipping point is at $700-800, etc.) Those who have wanted higher odds have already done so with multiple options available the past few months. So unless you plan on investing $50+ (with some savvy purchasing/trading) - and for a giveaway site, i consider this utterly ridiculous - then having any sort of CV is the only difference to be made.

I have considered putting another game from my inv up, but isn't likely to open any giveaways up, because it will probably leave my cont at $9.98, and people post things at $9.99, and $10. I can't really get stuff lined up to giveaway either, because my income is EXTREMELY limited.

don't give things because you want CV. it'll either end horribly or with no results. give things to people because you want to give them that. no strings attached.

it'll make you feel better about the whole giving things activity. and you should always focus on yourself first.

The focusing on myself is why I haven't really contributed, but the CV giveaways are partially to entice people to contribute. Just in my case, there would be no enticement, because things still would be out of my reach.

If we count the Faerie Solitaire dev giveaway, which had more copies to give away than actual people entered, then about 521 giveaways. If we don't count that, then 1847 giveaways.

I'm gonna say around 325-350. I was at 360 entries when I won my first, but I'm almost certain that it wasn't my 360th entry that I won.
