When you think TF2 is going to die?

When TF3/HL3 comes out. In other words, NEVER. Plus, people still play TF1, so it's not gonna die for a looong time yet.

I sold my items and jumped ship around a year ago. Lost interest, halloween updates got less interesting, the new magic and brony related content was dumb and the newer weapons as well. Still holds a special place in my heart with over 1000 hours in it but I don't have any intention to play it any time soon. Pyro Dodgeball is still pretty fun though.

People still play CS 1.6 and Quake so probably never.

TF2 is already dead, people just don't realize it yet.

If you couldn't make money off it it would have died years ago. I loved it when it first came out but the whole drop system completely ruined the game for me. The only reason i still have it installed are for garrys mod and for the occasional mann vs machine when i can get some friends together to play it.

There is always someone saying "I think this will die soon". In MMOs, they're in at day 1.

Hello again, my beloved thread.

The community is really huge. I think this don't will die until valve dies. TF2 Makes tons of money for valve, kill the game is like close your five stars restaurant or your rich hotel because of. Things that make money are not closely to die soon, but can happen.

When Valve stops making money off of it.

TF2 is Free to Play and extremely accessible with huge community of mods and so on, it's not going to die or lose out to CS:GO/DOTA anytime soon.

It's already dead.... At least to me. :P

It recently(1 April) died for me when they ruined the demoman with chargin' targe.

Short answer when TF3 is released. It is still number 3 on steam as far as daily amount of players so it is far from dead. If it seems dead for you, as in you don't see yourself playing it anymore then go ahead and sell your items. After 900 hours I'd say it might be time for you to find a new game.
