Maybe someone can help me out on this.

I've been turning unwanted cards and backgrounds from my inventory to Gems and i think something bugged out. I now have 1 stack of 890 and two stacks of 80 . I cant seem to find way to combine them into one stack + then i click on 890 stack to pack it into the Sack nothing happens. No error or anything, steam doesnt react.

I've tried doing it from browser since i've heard that client does that kind of nonsense from time to time but no luck

Any ideas?

Ty.

I'm 100% positive that all of those gems were made by items which were not gotten from trades but yes ,those 2 stacks seem to be untradeable for some reason till 18th and 20th of this month.

Thanks,i will try your method once trade restriction of those two 80 stacks will go away.

Maybe items you bought from the market? If not, then that's really weird and I wouldn't know what it could be :/

That is entirely possible. Those two 80 stacks were made from Backgrounds and i guess some of the cards were bought from market ( to craft badge and receive background in process. )

Can you trade partial sacks of gems? I thought each needs to reach 1000 gems to be packable into a sack you can trade/sell.

This is why I keep a second bot account, I can just do these merges. =)

Don't you need to buy stuff (on the Steam store) for that account to have market access?

I added wallet funds on it and bought myself a cheap gift later. But wallet funds is enough. Its main purpose is card trading to help people complete cheap sets, but small perks like helping me to combine gem stacks certainly helped.

So you needed to add funds to the account without market access? Note sure I like that. I'm over paying Steam money and am only considering when and how to get rid of my balance, gems etc.

You need to spend some small money on the Steam store in any form to gain market access, yes; essentially, you need to somehow pay Valve money to access the market, trading, and some other Steam functions.
At the time, it seemed like a good idea to keep a secondary account. Now, I really just use it as storage of random booster drops and for a small-scale free-for-all card-trading operation.

Guess, you could buy a Steam Gift Card to your main account, but is just guessing

Buy a 4—pack of a cheap game (in my case it was Sanctum) and extra copies you could trade or give away. Better value for the money you have to spend on the market.

People have had this problem for literally 3 years now. As far as I know the only way to get them in one stack is trade them with someone, and get them back again. I might be wrong, I've just resigned myself to looking at 3 stacks of gems in my library.

it's annoying but you can fix it by trading it. ask someone you trust or use an alt account.

I try not to use gems for this reason - it's annoying to have to deal with.
