Happy new year!

Ps. If we're at it maybe somebody could share how does the celebration look like? A topic like this is much better with a proper background

To u, too
Its just like christmas eve but instead of christmas tree we have something else that we call it "Haft-Seen" that is a tabletop with arrangement of seven symbolic items traditionally displayed at Nowruz.
Same as christmas we celebrate it with family together and all u do in christmas.

Haft-Seen..?

(1) Sieb (apple) beauty (2) Sabze (green grass) regeneration (3) Samanoo (sweets made from malt, wheat) wealth (4) Senjed (gumi) love (5) Seer (garlic ) Cleanliness, health (6) Serke (vinegar) joy (7) Sonbol (hyacinth) spring.
Also, separately from plants, decorate a koran, a mirror, a coin, a goldfish petal, a candle?

A festival with a history of 3000 years.amazing.
چهارشنبه‌سوری
Camp fire in the square and jump over it?

happy new year to u buddy,
As u know the defunct Persian Empire was the first civilization with Human rights. And Charter of the United Nations and The Universal Declaration of Human Rights based on Cyrus the Great charter of human rights, and Cyrus the Great was the founder of Persian Empire. that's why we celebrate the new persian year.

happy new year to u :)
Persia was included a variety of countries but nowdays persian countries (Countries that speak with Persian Languege) that left from that golden time were ruined by Arabic Islam :(
Even now some stupid muslims oppose with old Persian rites.

it's not hard to believe that!!!
in fact, my girlfriend's grandmother's family came from a town near the Caspian sea, north-west of Tehran, and they all spoke Persian..
probably now it's all different, and all those old great historical remainings aren't that promoted.. here in Europe we're discovering our past just in these decades, before - only Christian! no one knew 30 or 40 years ago about Celtic , Germanic rites, they just cared about the pope..
the Persian culture is one of the most important in the world and I can't wait to visit what is now Iran in the near future anyways! :) and it's very different from Arabic countries!! (fortunately, we're all indo-european plus :D )

I love every people in the world no matter the color of skin or religion or anything. We live in Iran now. That's really a bad time here, Islamic regime in Iran almost ruined everything. I hope in the close future Iran become free and we can show u and all world a true face of Iran.
