PSA - Developer has revoked any unused Broken Armor keys from indie quest bundle

Hello steamgift family,

I can't find information about this so I thought I'd turn to you experts.
This game was bundled in indiegala quest bundle here https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/ZPE09/indiegala-the-indie-quest-bundle
But I am finding some old extras i had saved are now saying they are used. But i never used them.
I can't find any information on revoke, and nothing in the game forum shows this either.
Did the developer pull some stunt?

I'm wondering the same as I just had a giveaway I made say the key is no good and I only revealed it to make the giveaway.

Mine I won here on Steamgifts, which presumably came from the Indiegala bundle, has not been revoked (yet)

paul, sorry i was not clear. I don't think keys have been revoked that were already redeemed, but it appears un-redeemed keys are no longer working. I have this game in my account, and it has not been revoked. But, my bundle keys no longer work.

Ah-ha...

If the unused keys were deactivated by the dev, I think Steam would say the key is invalid. If it says the key was already used, I think that means the dev gave Indiegala some duplicate keys (or OG assigned the same key to multiple customers). In either case I think Indiegala support should replace the keys for you as long as they are still in contact with the dev or still have some extra keys left over. Last time when I had to contact them for a replacement key it took 2 days for their response, but they did give it to me. Good luck :)

I thought it was that if steam revokes, such as DMCA, that will become invalid.
However if a dev revokes, the keys still link to the game, but will be used, or duplicate.

I traded for an old Nebula Online key once and it said it was invalid, the trader checked it himself to the same effect. The game was removed from the store by the developer after they turned off the servers, and I'm guessing it was also the devs who nuked the unused keys. So I'd say revoked keys become "invalid" and not "used".

I'm pretty sure I remember a similar incident although I'm too lazy to try and find the links. A dev threw some sort of a tantrum and didn't revoke keys (include those already redeemed) but apparently had the option of changing the status of all unredeemed keys with similar results. The incident I'm thinking of may have been Star Ruler 2 from a Bundle Stars bundle?

I just revealed two more keys so now I have a total of 3 keys that are not working. I'm submitting an email to indiegala about it.

Indie just emailed me back and they found the developer has deactivated all unused keys. They sent him an email demanding(their words) that he fix the situation immediately. You can update the title/op as indie has acknowledged that the developer has done it.

May I ask which game this is as I was planning on making some giveaways from the bundle tomorrow but I would rather not make the giveaways if I cannot be certain I can make the giveaways without having to delete the giveaway. If you do not wish to publicly name the game, you can message me on one of my old giveaways.

It's Broken Armor from the Indie Quest bundle. Keys worked last week but for some reason Dev disabled all unused keys this week.

If he did revoke, there would be the occasional big riot on the discussion board, and there isn't.

Mine didn't get removed, he even gave me a key to Shotgun Legend, and he is on top of updating his game.
Can't see him being one of those evil devs.

From my understanding if keys have been used its fine, its the unused keys that have been revoked which is why the people making giveaways are getting feedback from people saying key is not working.

Indie has confirmed that used keys are not revoked but for some reason he revoked any unused keys this week. I can screenshot the email if necessary but they have confirmed they are contacting the dev to correct the situation.

It took this long but IG has provided me with one new key. Waiting to see if the other two will replaced.
