Fair warning: My job has me working at usual hours so my response time has been very slow. It will continue to be this way for the next few months

Hello and welcome to the madness!
The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in one month.
The prize: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.
Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over six years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?
No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.
Can I play a MP only game?
No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.
If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?
No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on January 4th when the next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.
Good luck, have fun and stay safe.
Thanks for reading, and good luck with your holiday shopping.

Reply here once done.
done! thanks for the event as usual :)
I am done.
Done, once again! I played:
Wildfire: Achievements "Their Beautiful Glow"
SteamWorld Heist: Achievements "Are You Experienced?"
Lacuna: Achievements "Rescue Mission"
Going Under: Achievements "You Are (Un)Employed"
Night Call: Achievements "Le Juge"/"Le Marchand de Sable" (The game has 3 more or less identical campaigns that end in a roll of the credits. I played two of them, as I didn't knew this before playing twice, but felt like there was no point playing the third).
Paratopic: Achievements "Paratopic"
Thank you for the challenge, I had fun!!!
Happy New Year CJ and thanks for yet another backlog slaying event!

Done with the challenge, thank you.
Oooh nice, will make another attempt this month! Thank you for holding this event month after month :)
I'll add games once I play them. I have a category ready to pick from...
Edit: Yeaaah Sleeping Dogs distracted me a bit to much, then with visiting fam for about a week, not going to make it this month - oh well, success in finding a game I got sucked into and really enjoyed with Sleeping Dogs!
Got some holidays to claim at work till end off year, so I may try out for second time, but will take it slowly and not adding whole list of games at once to replace them every third day.
i think i'll join this month since i got some games that i haven't played yet. hopefully i got the time to play them all.
Okay its been a while since I actually committed fully to this event. Should've waited a month to do framed dammit! But my recent win evoland fits so yay 2 birds with 1 stone! I saw you play marvel recently, was suprised by how short it was compared to how many achievements you gained
I got enough unplayed Humble Choice games to participate in this again, so let's go. I didn't get most of these from actual Humble Choice though - just bought them on sale in other places. I hope that's alright.
I'm in once again!
damn dude well done on beating it so fast
Pretty short games, but yeah I was on a mission there :D
I recognise some from being short but still you did 6 games in a short time so that's impressive to me
Yet have to pass this month.
Thank you for the continued Monthlies in a Month
My games this month:
Achievements - "True expert"
Size Matters has some amusing concepts, but it's hard for me to get into very "make-your-own-fun" type sandboxes which this mostly is. The settings offer some structure but it feels like the real fun is in the custom settings and trying to make your own challenges.
Achievements - "Forever Fractured"
The Ambassador is pretty much the definition of an okay game. It's a competent enough twin-stick shooter with pixelated art, with some bullet hell elements on some of the bosses. I did like the ability to flexibly travel between the main worlds to try different stages.
Assisted difficulty probably makes the game too easy since you can die repeatedly and not lose anything, but I did appreciate having it on some of the bosses, especially the final one.
Achievements - "Delivery Done"
The art and concept in Tiny Echo are novel, mixing familiar creatures with more bizarre ones. Some of what you have to do to proceed could get confusing, but it's a pretty small game so it's hard to knock it too much for that.
Achievements - "And they lived happily ever after...?"
TSIOQUE definitely suffers from that adventure-game syndrome of "clicking on this works, while clicking on this other unique thing does nothing." There are also a lot of game-over states and scenes that require surprisingly quick reaction time for an adventure game, but luckily the game's checkpointing and auto saving is generous so you can immediately try again.
The plot was something that I could predict, but was still charming in its execution.
Achievements - "Turnip boy"
Some of the humor is a bit too... online, even for me (a random NPC recites a modified Navy Seal copypasta at you, and that's it; that's the whole joke). But the humor that does hit is charming, and the music is full of bops. Combat is a bit simplistic, but works well enough to sustain the game for its runtime.
Achievements - "Clear skies"
For the story mode itself, it's a pretty standard fighting game story mode; not too engaging, but ultimately short enough that it's not too bad. The game has some interesting concepts, and I wonder if Knockout City was at all inspired by some of the mechanics in Lethal League, but I don't have the patience or internet connection to join the small Discord community and play Lethal League competitively.
Gonna try for this month. Haven't done this in a long while!
I actually have the game this time so I can take a break! I will probably try to keep it up in terms of backlog clearing but focus on some non hb games this month, goodluck to everyone else bump ^^
been a while since i've done this. really missed it tbh.
Thanks for another community event this month! Happy Holidays!
Happy holidays Cj! Had this lineup planned for a bit (but with a surprise addition for me).
edit: Might be busy these nexy few days so need to swap one or two things out for shorter games.
I am here again, for the last event of the year, same as last year. :D
Happy holidays and thank you for the challenge. :)
