I was recently looking through google, searching up my own username to see if i could find out where my account was mentioned and i came across this: https://pastebin.com/eyFGpTD6
Pretty weird find, the pastebin does mention me, and a ton of other accounts which are supposedly “clones” and shouldn’t be trusted for giveaways. Does anyone here know the origins of this oddity? Because honestly i am pretty curious how it came about. (It is probably a long shot to think that anyone here might know something, but you never know)

It looks like it's coming from Reddit, and it's addressing multiaccounts and keyhoarders. It seems like an internal blacklist for certain users/accounts.
Edit: Someone just made it public and posted it on pastebin.

That's some deep web stuff right there.

I found a huge dump of usernames and passwords associated with them a little while ago while searching for a friend's username... needless to say, it's at this point I realized my little "investigation" was going wayyyy too deep into the internet.

:gasp:

So, wait- you're the one responsible for using my credentials to order me a home delivery of 1,000 unpaired left-foot ankle socks?!
( I mean, I kind of always suspected. )

Be right back, I'll need a gallon of eyes bleach to erase this from my vision.

You are lucky -- my right eye is fine, but I am all out of left-eye bleach. :(

Not really my business, but wouldn't the best thing to do when you find a leaked document stating it's confidential and should not be shared publicly is not post the link on a public forum (even if it was leaked)? :P

Originally it was though, and this just makes the thing worse

+1 it just seems respectful of the original poster's wish not to share it further when it isn't supposed to be available to all. But what do I know, I'm just a clueless dragon passing through.

it seems like an internal blacklist used by /r/GiftofGames mods or some other "giveaways" subreddit ??

Didn't notice that it was the same name as OP, Well that just shows they made a mistake there then unless you want to think we are same person.

https://www.reddit.com/r/RandomActsOfGaming/comments/7f41x8/mod_message_a_few_things_id_like_to_go_over_this/

I remember reading about this from a mod announcement, and I just found the topic.

I have been made aware, multiple times, of a user contacting op's with a list of "cheaters". I personally view this list as borderline "witch hunting" and have done what I can to stop it. Currently to no avail. The Mod team is aware of this list and while we do keep an eye on many users, without proof of cheating, there is little we can do.

So, apparently this is a work of one person.

I would love to know what criteria the list creator uses to link the accounts

But I only own 1 of them

If the mods are aware of this topic it should probably be deleted and edited to remove the link, since it's something you found it's probably not 100% true.
