Hello fellow steamgifts users,

So today I completed The 39 Steps, more of an interactive story than a game, in order to receive playfire credit from achievements. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoyed it and rather than focusing on getting the achievements, I became more interested in the plot progression. I was wondering if there were any additional games that are very similar to this type of interactive novel style that are for PC or Android. I've tried Dear Esther before, but found it to be too open for my tastes. Yes, gamers should be able to interact with their "games", but sometimes I find that simply following along with the story in a straightforward manner to be the most satisfying.

Thank you for reading my post, and here's a key drop for your thoughts (not too sure what game it is): BIIZZ-HXE(two)F-KKPJ(four). It would be great if you could comment below if you got it :)

Telltale's Walking Dead game and Wolf Among Us.. There's some gameplay but not much. I'd say these games are more of an interactive story than a game.

The 39 Steps was a e-book :)
I think you can read books :) Give a chance to Sherlock Holmes series.

Yup, books are nice too, but I really enjoyed the visual pictures and voice-overs that accompanied the text as well :)

I agree, I did 39 steps for the playfire rewards and totally loved it. I wish they would make something exactly like that but with choices.

You're looking for visual novels, then. They have choices, and most of them several endings depending on your choices.
